do you have a preference of where to hear new music?

I go looking for music on my own most of the time. People have recommended me music on occassion and it almost always is something that I do not enjoy listening to. Granted I have a eclectic picky choice of music and it would be hard for anyone to guage what I would like/dislike. However, I find that going through my friends music libraries is a great way to find music. There is bound to be at least one band or song I like from any given persons library and usually they have a lot by the same artist so I can listen to the full album before I have to decide if I like them or dislike them.
