I have 6 cats and they are always around me when I am cooking..of course to see if something would be of interest.
My cats not going outdoors to get grass I used to buy the one you grew but wasn't very good and didn't last long.
I bought for me, the bio springtime salad and I dropped some on the floor..and the cats pounced on it and ate it up..so I said to myself..no grass..salad should do..so I started feeding them everyday salad..as much as they wanted and it works..but not just any salad..it must be the bio springtime..if the cats prefer it..then its a good choice.
I love the portebello mushrooms, so again I dropped a piece on the floor and the cats pounced on it..so mushrooms they get.
I buy them treats ..the Whiskas..the one you shake..heheh..boy up on the table they come..well, I ran out and the cats were all on the table looking at me and expecting something..so I grabbed the bag of cereal rice crispies..and put some on the table..they all ate it..so now they get some everyday.
Ahhh.but that is not all..when I get the Activa Yogurt and when I snap to separate the containers..they come runing..yep..they all get in a row on the table and I give them each a teaspoon and boy do they love it.
My cats won't eat hot dog meat..they turn their nose up on them..so I know no more hot dogs not only for them but for me too. If my cats won't eat it then it isn't good for me.
Ah but do they love it when I open a can of turkey, salmon and of course sardines but only the ones in water.
They love chocolate but since it isn't good for them I rarely give them any..and chips..the Lays..boy do they love that..with sour cream..I give them just a bite as it isn't good for them.
I have alot of fun with my cats..they are adorable and..I am going to cook a huge salmon.. well not for guests..but for me and my gang...of purrrrrrrrrrrr fect cats.
What does your cat (s) like to eat?

My Cat's a fussy eater...I've tried buying various types of catfoods for him,and it seems only some of them he can eat or tolerate..some he'll just throw up again soon after...I had him settled with a particular brand of dry food which he seemed to enjoy, but a recent checkup revealed a hole in one of his teeth, and the vet decided to extract it,so for now he's on a soft food diet, and as usual,it wasn't easy finding him one that worked..I'd bought a can of one food which he seemed to enjoy, then went looking for more of it on the supermarket shelves where I usually shop..no luck..to the local petfood suppliers, who turned out to have it in stock, but only in a shrinkwrapped 24 pack...He ate 3 cans, then turned his nose up at #4...Thankfully,I was able to return them for a refund! The food I've found that works for him at present is a Supermarket own brand foil tray food which are a little more expensive than the cans or his dry food, but at least he's eating them ok..even though they do seem to make him a bit gassy... I'd love to find some more foods that suits both him and my budget!

It wasn't my decision to go with the soft food..The Vet told me to go with that diet for him post op! I intend to get him back to his usual thing soon...I'm hearing good things about some organic foods for cats..unfortunately,they're not available where I am! the search continues..

Just because he had a hole in one of his teeth doesn't mean to give up on dry food. His other teeth are okay.
I had my cat 3 taken out and she still loves her dry food. I buy special kitty from walmarts and they have 3 kinds so I vary or buy two bags..and mix them up when I get home in a covered pail..
The best one though if I had just one or two cats is ONE or the BIO food but as my bank account is growing with my home online business, soon they will be getting just the food that is BIO..
Soft food my dear is the worse thing to give to domestic animals. I also get them the Whiskas..green squares..treat which cleans and helps the teeth. They love it and good thing I don't have a wall to crash cause they would go right through it if I shake the bag.
Now, I just take it in my hands and open the bag reeeeeeeeeeeally slow..just to see..trust me they know the different sounds and what I am going to give them hahahah.. cats are really smart.

yes, I heard of how they were made so I bough just pure beef or turkey..but since I am a aboriginal, I listen to animals and so if my cats don't eat a certain meat..I don't either.
Pray tell, say what you saw..I think it would be good for everyone to know.

Well, it was a long time ago, but let me see how much I remember.
The first thing I noticed about the plant was the smell. It was definitely not pleasant. It wasn't that the meats they were working with were spoiled or anything but there was an overriding odor permeating the air.
As we went past some of the work stations I noticed that if a cut of meat was accidently dropped on the floor the butcher would just pick it back up and wrap it up for sending to the store. When I questioned my friend about this he told me he had the same objection but his boss told him that people should wash their meat before they cook them anyway and if they did not it was their own fault. Trust me I wash everything now.
Then the last part of the tour took us through the area where they made hot dogs. First of all these are made with the scraps and trimmings of the other cuts of meats. Even the beef or turkey ones are made this way. They put all this into a large machine which pulverized everything into a sort of puree. Then it extruded it out of an opening that made the stuff look like ca ca. Then another machine forced into the sheath that would make it hold it's hot dog shape. Personally I was disgusted.
Being a cat lover myself I agree that anything my cat's wouldn't eat is probably not fit for human consumption either. Of course I am talking about meats here because cat's are carnivores. Although cats do eat some greens, like grass, for there digestive health they are not big into fruits and vegetables so I couldn't judge from there response to those.

Some of the weird things our cats go crazy for include beans (green & yellow) and green peas. I will sometimes give them a little dish of peas of their own and they absolutely wolf them down. As for green beans they will steal them right off your plate. I guess since they don't go outside often they can get their greens with peas!

Ah that is a great idea..I will see if they will eat green peas. Yes it is true they need their greens which many people don't know..since we keep our animals indoors, it is important for them to get their greens for their digestion.
I have to go out and buy their favorite salad today.
