My friend was out with her dog and her cell phone fell out of her shirt pocket and fell into the lake when she bent over to pick up a stick for her dog to fetch. She fished it out and to her surprise it still works! Another dropped her phone while horse riding and found it in the field days later after it had been thoroughly irrigated and you guessed it, it still works!
I put mine through the wash and wasn't so lucky. Has your cell phone ever being through the worst and survived? Or not? Share please!

My cell phone took a dip in the bath tub a few years ago while I was bathing my son. My hubby had called right in the middle of it and it slipped out of my hand and fell right in the tub. It took about a week to fully dry out but its still working!

Amazing! It is good to know that gadgets these days can be made to last and withstand the odd accident. Thanks for responding!

That reminds me to my old cell phone--old model but tougher than it looks. I put it in my skirt's pocket the whole day and forgot that it was still there when I threw my skirt into the washing machine. An hour or so later I just realized that my cell phone was nowhere to be found and that it was still in my skirt's pocket, and I quickly rushed to try to save it. It was all wet and covered by foam when I took it out, but luckily it worked again after I brought it to a service center.

That was lucky! I did the same with mine but when I retrieved it, it was well and truly D.O.A.!

My cell phone has survived my kid. That is pretty good considering all of the other stuff in our house he manages to break. He has thrown it, tried eating it, put it in the garbage, ran over it, basically you name it and he has done it to the phone. I wanted to get a new one but the darn thing is just too tough and won't break.

Don't you hate that? When you are waiting for something to break so that you will have an excuse to buy a new one and the thing just refuses to die! I had that problem with my old TV; the picture was faded and the remote no longer worked but it kept on going until we decided to just buy a new one anyway, life is too short. With your phone though, you may be better off keeping the old one as a new one may not survive your child! Thanks for the response!
