I think that my favorite book is either Techgnosis by Erik Davis or The Visionary State by Erik Davis. I also think that Neuromancer by William Gibson is a really really good book. There are so many good books out there though and I've yet to read as much as I want to.

i have many...
mayor of casterbridge by thomas hardy was interesting to read because it was like a twisted soap opera.
lord of the flies was fun to read because i like adventures and island stories.
lord of the rings was fun, but i still havent finished reading all of them. my mind is in too many places. i liked the adventure about it.
as you like it by shakespeare was fun because it was like the movies Tooties and Yentle, where a girl dresses up as a guy to get close to a guy she likes.
I Never Promised You A Rose Garden was interesting to read because i like psychological stories. it is about a young teen girl who is a schizophrenic and spends her teen years in a mental institution.
Great Expectation was interesting to read.
i cant think of anything else but i am sure there are more.

I read a variety of books i read anything that catches my interest but my favorites are those written by Robert Ludlum. Its about espionage. I got hooked when I read "The Bourne Identity" in 1981 when I was in college. I have read almost all of his books and I am still looking for those i may have missed. Perhaps you already saw the Bourne movies of Matt Damon? I also read other similar books by different authors but the Ludlum books are on top of my list.

hello hmsturgeon
when i was a teenager i couldn't wait to get my hands on the next book of the series "Black Beauty". i still have all of the copies of the "Black Beauty" books that i read when i was younger. and i liked to read those books because that Black Beauty was the horse that was full of adventure. have you read any of the "Black Beauty" books? thanks for sharing. and after i get finished reading a book, then what i usually do is go back to the bookstore and see what strikes my interest to read. i hope that you find yourself a good book that you will be interested in reading.
take care and have a beautiful evening.

I really enjoy the Harry Potter series. I have read the first 4 about six times each, and as the new ones came out I read each once or twice. I really enjoy the story and I love the way the author writes. Even though it is suppose to be for children, the topics are ageless and very interesting (as long as you have a sense of adventure, fantasy and humor). I also am looking for some new books to read... I love humor, love, friendship, etc... but everytime I go to the library and read the book covers I can't find anything that interests me.
XOXO

I am funny, after I read a book, it is highly unlikely that I will ever read it again-if it is really good it sticks with me and I don't have to read it again, if it is not so good, I won't have the interest to read it again. BUT I do have fav authors....I highly recommend the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer (they are for young adults, but I enjoyed the easy read and good plot), anything by Anne Rice or John Grisham are good picks (The Street Lawyer is a great heart tugging read). If you haven't read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, read it! Good Luck!

My favorite book is The Book Thief. I don't think I could pick just one part of the book. I quite enjoyed the entire thing.
It's about this girl named Liesel. She goes to live with foster parents during the second war, where Hilter ruled. Well, her foster parents hide a Jew in there basement, and she becomes good friends with him. She plays soccer and hangs out with this boy Rudy. They steal together, mainly books, and sometimes food. But it's a really good book. I highly recommand it. I want to read it again. You get really attached to the characters, and when it's over you kind of miss them, and want to read it again.
