Applebees late night 2 for 1, half price appetizer zombies

This goes out to all the people that live where there is an applebees with 1/2 price appetizers and 2 for 1 drinks. Why do people wait soo long to sit on like friday nights or saturday nights like between 30-90 minutes for a table just to get these specials. The food is usually cold or burnt or something wrong with it. Why do people wait soo long to save 3 or 4 bucks why not just go to fridays or a diner or get fast food?
