So, I really need to clean my whole house. One of the things that really needs to get done is the dusting. I hate dusting!! My whole house is tiled...no carpet at all. Dust accumulates very fast when you have no carpet. Since one of my sons has very bad allergies( the reason we don't have carpet) dusting is a must but I can't stand doing it!!! I would rather scrub toilets or mop the floors than dust. It is so tedious and time consuming. What is the one chore that you can't stand to do?

We get alot of sand and dog hair. Living by the beach and having 3 German Shepherds causes that .We have all tile also , so it's a never ending job dusting , sweeping and mopping. One job I dislike the most though is ironing. My mother did ironing as a way to bring in extra money when we were kids. She enjoyed it for some reason. Not I !! Good thing i mostly wear tank tops and jeans .

We only have two dogs as well and they are Dachshunds so I am sure they don't give off nearly as much hair as 3 German Shepherds. Since we have all tile I use a shop vac to vacuum and it is actually on its last leg. I didn't think you could actually overuse a shop vac. As far as the ironing goes....I have a huge stack of clothes sitting on the ironing board right now. It is not my favorite but I just turn on the t.v. and iron till it's done. My Grandmother used to love to iron!

Oh beachstarz I feel you! I feel like I could sweep and dust 2-3 times a day. I only have the 2 dogs but boy do they stir up some dust and the sand is never ending!

I use microfiber clothes for my dusting, either wet (with just water) or dry. I'll even have the kids do it for me if I'm not in the mood, or too busy, since there's no chemicals involved it's not dangerous for them, and they enjoy it and feel like they're being helpers. The chores I dislike the most are sweeping and mopping. I usually just won't bother cleaning because if I start, I have to eventually sweep and mop, and I hate it. I also don't like cleaning off my desk too much. There's so much to move and find homes for. I'm so disorganized and there's really no home for the stuff that ends up piled on my desk, which is exactly why it's on my desk! Basically that is it's home. I also am not too fond of putting away laundry. I don't know why, because it's a very simple task, I just don't like to do it. Most of my clean laundry is sitting in piles on top of my dresser, and once it gets to the point where it starts falling off, that's about when I decide to put some away.

It went surprisingly well. I think I will start a discussion about it, so keep an eye out for it.

Putting away laundry is not my favorite either. I am lucky that my kids are old enough to put their own away and my husband usually does ours. My desk is always a disaster as well...but I do know where everything is on it. I would up the creek if I disliked doing the floors since we have only tile it is pretty much a daily chore. Oh...how was the shopping with the potty trainer?

I hate cleaning the stove and fridge, that is the absolute worst for me.

I used to hate cleaning the stove as well but I have a flat top now so it is easier than having to clean all the drip pans and such. The oven is a different story. Even though it is self cleaning, I have never done it. Something about it bothers me, maybe because it gets so hot.

I agree with you~ I hate dusting too! It is never ending. Then you have to move all the nicknacks and dust them too. I also hate doing windows. I have little ones here all day that love to put their little hands all over my windows. I can't stand the hand prints, but I also can't stand washing windows!

Oh Yeah, I forgot about windows. I don't like those either. In my house we have 6 sliding glass doors. I hate cleaning them . I finally got a window cleaner that you would use on your car, that has a squeegee on one side. That really helps. I just clean them with soap and hot water and then go over them with glass cleaner. Sometimes I don't even ave to use the glass cleaner.

OMG~ 6 sliding glass doors! I have one and hate cleaning it. I love the squeegie idea! Does it make a mess when cleaning inside though?

Dusting for sure would be one of my most hated chores. I to have dust allergies and every time I do it, no matter what I take, its a pain on me. I can't get anyone else to help me do it, so I have no choice but to do it, cause I can't stand for dust to lay around and accumulate. I to would much rather scrub toilets than dust.

I didn't even think of that. I have to dust because of my sons allergies but usually by the time I am done, I am the one sneezing and miserable. It is a pain but the things we do for kids!

I use a slightly damp cloth, then the dust doesn't spread or escape. I don't like any housework, so I just put on some good music, so that I can dance and sing to it while I'm working. That doesn't work with the hoovering though!

That is a good idea! I usually have the t.v. on just so I can have some background noise but sometimes I find myself stopping and watching something. I guess I will start turning the radio on instead of the t.v.

Hello 4ofmyown. Like you Im not into dusting. You can tell me to do any chores just not dusting. Im allergic to dust. Whenever I dust, I feel that I take longer doing it. I feel lazy when I dust.
