I am a Sound Enginner from the UK.
I have always used Windows XP as my operating system for making music on.
Alot of the more proffessional producers and studios use Macs (MAC OS??) AND SAY THAT THEY ARE MUCH BETTER FOR MAKING MUSIC ON.
Why is this???
What Operating system do you use?? and why??
Id love to know what you all have to say on this sbject.
Thanks for dropping by. Peace and Love

yes, that was one of the things that has kept me away from the mac, due to the compatability issues with some of my favourite plugins...
However, I have just been doin some reseacch on mac's and have now realised that you can dual boot with XP or Vista so I could just revert back to window when their was a problem with software.

Its not the Operating System that is important for doing something, it is the software applications that you need that will do your job.
Both Mac and PC can have sound editing, video editing and related software installed and the software is the main thing that will help you for doing music production

Thanks for that, I will take that in to consideration.
I have used Windows XP, because it has proved to be a really good Operating System for me, and most of software that I want to use is compatible with it (unlike Vista).
Do you make any types of Music Yourself???
What Operating System do you use??
Thanks once again for all your help!!
