Don't you just hate 1337(LEET) speak

Don't you just hate when you are chatting with someone over internet and ask him like : "Did you watch that movie yesterday,it was cool?" and then he responds "Oh Y34h i w4tched 1t,1t was g00d butz i not like it very mucH BeeCUZ i h4te that G3nre 0f M00veez and stuffz you knows what I talk 'bout?"

I prefer normal conversation because the reply was challenging to understand. I think that a proper reply wouldn't take all that long. A native speaker might understand but a learner from abroad might have difficulty understanding. On my mobile phone I see some kind of shortening words that can be confusing.

I just hate it. It makes me dizzy reading those words. If someone chat with me like that, I'll just go to scramble mode, like this: asjkdfhasjk dfak klasdghfuiahefuitg sadig ailsueg asgi. lol

I know what you mean and I find it very annoying as well...
Sometimes I'll talk that was as a joke or for fun though, but I would never talk that way on purpose. It's just plain irritating, and I don't understand the point of it anyway. I understand why people talk in slang - because it takes a shorter amount of time to get the words down - but it takes much longer to type in 1337 and find numbers for each of your letters and sometimes even make them longer. o_o
So yeah, I don't like that either (although I do sometimes to that as a joke with my friends to make fun of it xD).
