Maybe I am just unlucky but I haven't really seen a good musical. All I have seen are cheap and annoying. Maybe some one from you could suggest some really good musical? I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Haha, musicals aren't for everyone. Take me, for example. I have never seen a single musical that I did not enjoy. I kid you not. Not once. My friends, on the other hand, are very critical of musicals. Maybe I'm just easy to please. If you want to find out whether or not any musical is right for you, you should see The Phantom of the Opera. I consider it to be the very epitome of all musicals. If you don't like it, you won't like any.

my ex is a travel agent and she used to get tickets to broadway musicals for travel agents discount, anyway i went to nyc with her to see the phantom of the opera, and i was knocked out of my seat, so if you ever get a chance to get to broadway go see one very impressive, also go to a " cirque du soleil show those guys are amazing

My favorites are... Rent Across the Universe Sweeney Todd (the new one was fabulous but I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp soooo...I'm a little partial) Little Shop of Horrors (which was indeed cheesey but that was the point) Chicago (that and Empire Records are the only movies I've seen with Rene Zellweger that didn't make me want to stick knitting needles in my eyes)

I love musicals! I like them a lot more as a play than a movie though. Broadway is amazing!! I really liked Mary Poppings, Sweeny Todd, The Color Purple, and The Drowsy Chaperone. I have also seen The Chorus Line and didn't really like it! Some are good and some are bad. I was also involved in theatre at my high school and my favorite play that we did was The Fiddler on the Roof. My least favorite was Grease. Don't get me wrong I love Grease its just at my high school we do it every 4 years and after seeing it and then performing with it, it gets old!

What musicals have you seen so far? That'd be a help to know what to suggest....I've ALWAYS been a fan of musicals but there are some that I have no interest in and havent seen like Sound of Music...I have NO desire to see that....some of my favs are Grease Xanadu Hairspray (the remake, Travolta was FABULOUS in that LOL) Rent Rocky Horror and pretty much any Marilyn or Elvis LOL not to mention several Gene Kelly, ginger Rogers and the like musicals.. one that I'm dying to see is Repo which just came out on DVD a week ago....

I think musicals are cheesy, but that's why I love them!! Mary Poppins is one of my favorites, as are Grease, West Side Story, Chicago, Bye Bye Birdie, and when I was young I saw Sarah Jessica Parker in Once Upon a Mattress on Broadway .. Fantastic!
