Hey all. Here is my delima Here in Canada they have a chicken pox vacine but it has been out for only 3 years and is not fully tested. There have been some cases of children having sezures after recieving it. It is mandatory that before a child starts school they have to have chicken pox vacine or they are not aloud in school! But I do not believe in this vacine! What would you do?

My son did have the vacine which was given in 2 doses over time. I would check with your child's school about vacine policies. I also thought that all vacines had to be given before they were allowed to start school and so I made sure my son had all of them. When I was filling out the paperwork to register him, there was a form in there that I could sign if I didn't want my child to participate in having his vacines. He would still be able to start school but would have to stay home if there was an outbreak of any kind of chldhood disease. If I would have known this beforhand, I wouldn't have given him so many vacines at such an early age. I would have spread them out over time.

I so agree with you! Children should not recieve so many vacines i understand about mumps and measels we def dont need a breakout of them. But chicken pox dont we want our children to have them when there younger rather then when they are older and get schingles! Sorry for the spelling!

My son had his at one. I believe they did two rounds of it or i may be getting confused with his other shots but i know he had one shortly after his first birthday. Its required here i think.

See that is my delima it is not required that the children here have it its up to the parent. But they wont accept them in school if they havent had it! It is supposed to be a parents choise then they tell you that you cant put them in kindergarten until they have it. I guess my kids will be homeschooled!

The chicken pox vaccine should only be taken when a person in the family has the disease. If the person gets chicken pox.He has to wait two weeks for the virus to go.He should eat lot of cool stuff during that time,He should sacrifice his favorite food to receive complete healing.
