Here are some of the identified personality traits of people who are always late:
* Risk-takers: These people are addicted to the thrill of leaving for their appointed destination only when they absolutely must. They don’t mind taking the risk of being late, because they don’t want to risk being early and waiting for others. This may be because deep-down they fear feeling rejected, if they wind up waiting for others.
* Freedom-makers: Those who felt trapped by authority as children often grow up to be “late-niks,” who use lateness to feel free. Their intense wish not to be controlled by others may be at the root of their lateness. Or they may have a rebellious nature that essentially tells others: “You will not tell me how to run my life and when I have to be somewhere.”
* Organization-slackers: Another reason someone may be late is poor organizational skills. They have difficulty planning out a realistic schedule and calculating how long each of their tasks will take and how long it will take them to get to their appointments on time. These people generally have poor organizational skills, though they may be very intelligent.
* Trouble-avoiders: These people, unconsciously or even consciously, wish to avoid the people they are supposed to meet or the place where they are going. This may be the reason for their lateness. In these situations, lateness may be a form of passive-aggressive behavior. Since they’re angry that they must go to an appointment, they make others wait for them. These late-niks may not even be aware of their anger.
What do you think - is it one of these or perhaps he feels superior and doesn't think of the other people involved - that everyone should have to wait on "his highness"!

I don't know about him, but to some degree the first two describe me. I hate being the first one to arrive and wait for people. On the second one it is to some degree about freedom, because every second I'm at work is a second that I'm not where I want to be. If I get to work 5 minutes early, that's 5 minutes I could have spent enjoying myself elsewhere.
Still, I'm never late to work. My job is far too important to let my personal feelings get in the way. I'm just late to everything else.

Not being early and always being late is two different things - other people have other things to do too and his lateness keeps everyone waiting - he was late to his own inauguration!

I believe he thinks he is right up there with God. Everything he does with his evil smile points to it.

There have been reports that he's getting really irate that the stimulus plan isn't going through as he and the Democrats wanted it - that someone would actually differ with his opinion seems to be a bee in his bonnet!

no I do not think that of him at all, I admire him,
this explanation give all kinds of possibilities, and that doesn't mean any one person has all of them in fact it is known psychologically that no body will have all these treats, each person will have some.
from what I see of this man he is definitely a risk taker, or he would never have ran for the presidency
he does not avoid trouble or he would never have ran for the presidency,
yes he is strong willed, but that is what you have to have as a trait in a president, if not your in trouble.
and I do not see where the man is always late,
do you realize the tremendous pressure on a president and how they have to split themselves every which way, their schedule is very demanding
and I am talking about all presidents, it is part of the job

Other presidents have had to deal with as much, if not more, than he has on his plate and they were respectful enough of other people to be on time for their appointments. I think it is extremely disrespectful.

yes it is not good, but tell me do you look for all the bad you can find in every president or just obama, because I have never seen you post anything nice about him?

Clinton was always late, too. In addition to poor organization skills, it shows a great deal of egotism and lack of respect for other people. That was one thing about Bush, he respected other people and was always on time and expected others to be on time also.

I know that I have seen several times when he has been late - press conferences and such, and he made no apologies for keeping people waiting.

Thanks a bunch for posting this just for me lol, I even tried after I left the message and it would not load. Yes it seems he has been tardy on several occasions but do we know why? I am not protecting him I am playing devils advocate here, perhapshe got a lead on Osama or something very important? Perhaps he was in the think tank a little too long ( hubby's think tank is the bathroom) he said it is the only place were he can think with no interruptions lol. Maybe he spilled coffee on his shirt? He has a schedule that none of us would be able to keep up with hell on a typical day I run late sometimes because unexpected things come up. One of the posters made a comment he thinks he is God. Now come on if he really thought that dont you think he would be everywhere on time? Being perfect? It could be a time management thing as well. Lets see if he gets better with it. Do we know how many times he has been on time? compared to when he has been late?
