Ridiculous pet laws!

Is your city or state just daft when it comes to pet laws? A couple in a city close to mine has two pet chickens. The hens eat leftover garbage-good recycling!-and make great fertilizer products for the garden. However, the city wants them to get rid of the hens because they are farm animals. That same city allows people to have tigers, bears, wolves, alligators and other large wild animals as pets that have the potential to be very dangerous to people yet hens are not allowed!
This is the stupidist reasoning I've heard for a long time. What do you think?
Do you have an unusual pet? Would you rather have a tiger or a chicken living next door?!

I agree with you. Some of the laws they have are really stupid and don't make any sense at all.
Well, I have a cat, but, that's not very unusual! LOL! I do have friends who were given a Ferret by the name of Farah. I'm pretty sure they're illegal to have where I live. They could get caught if they ever had to take the Farah to the vet. Who knows. They could be reported if that ever happens.

Ferrets are lovely pets, I knew a couple who rescued them and they are very lovable. They smell funny, though, even when they have their scent glands removed or whatever they do to them!

I know! They are so sweet! They do have a bit of an odor though. My friend says she gives Farah a bath everyday......
