I have a suggestion for you, in this case. If you feel that your old 'inactive' friends can come again and it will not be proper to 'delete' them from your list. I would say - "you please send them a PM/mail in this regard". If you receive any reply from them, it means they are 'kicking and alive' and may again come to mylot and if they do not respond, it means, they are no longer going to resurface on mylot. Another thing is even if you 'delete' them, without asking them their position and any of them resurfaces here on mylot, you can always add him/her again in your list, after all he/she was your old pal and he/she will oblige. Those who are inactive for more than six months and do not ever come to your discussions, you can safely 'delete' them, I do the same by the way.

Riya! Let me add something, suppose you once again become 'inactive' for six months, then
(i) Won't you tell your dear friends, that you are busy and you are unable to come to mylot? (I do hope that you will inform your friends about it, because you value friends and friendship)
and
(ii) If you are not ablt to tell them, due to any unforseen reasons, donot you expect that someone will send you a PM or a mail to know your exact position?
I do hope that your friends will definitely ask about your well being, if you suddenly disappear, without any intimation. And believe me, you can count on me, I'll be the one, (if you disappear suddenly) to send you the PM to know about your status.
And same holds true, if I go 'missing' one fine day for a longer period, without telling my friends about it..........LOL!

Hello my friend dpk262006 Ji,
and as well as my friend riyasam Ji,
Once a member, has been put on 'In-active ' list, how do you expect that he/she would
be able to make response of your private messages. I do not think so. So next alternative
is-I do not delete at all. mayB god bless you and have a great time.

Hello my friend riyasam Ji,
You have lot many credits and most important is '8524', which has lot many characters
and you are very much experienced. But what my hubby said once to me, I can not delete
friends. In case, I am permitted, i still will not, in-activeness could be reviewed
after 3 months a sper guide lines and FAQs. So why to delete them. Let them remain with
us, May god bless and have a great time.

Hello my friend riyasam Ji,
If you go as per majority poll, you may follow positive way, by not deleting them, but
choice is your's. You understand taht you have gone off and on several times and you
were never deleted, so why not continue with same noble tradditions, without being
slightest sense of negativeness. may god bless you and have great time.

The other day I went through my friends list and checked on each profile of those who never come to my post and most of them have their profile blank or stated that they have no activity for the last 60 days. I have no choice but to delete some of them especially those who have less than 10 discussions and those who never once responded to my post. Make no mistake though as I was pleasantly surprise when a friend who has announced to the world that she is leaving and her profile was blanked out suddenly appeared requesting to be my friend as I had just deleted her from my list a day earlier. I thought it was a different person but later she pm to explain her real reasons for her come back.

Why are there for anyway if not to be an active participator to our discussions. They are not there to be an accessories for decoration purposes which does not serve it's purpose. Let them go and find a comfortable place in someone else place as they are people here who are 'collectors' of all kind of human characters. To some the more the better.

Hi Riya,
I have the same doubt and finally I decided not to delete any of them. If they come again how do we know about them? So let their name is there. There is nothing harm some inactive people’s name is there in our list. So what do you think finally Riya?

I think you can delete it if it is more than 3 months inactive, so it becomes easier to seen. If that is inactive is your referral, I think you should not delete it.

Your referrals will automatically become your friends, and will be in the friends list.

hey, it's been seven months, have deleted them yet? just kidding. in my case if they are active for at least a month or two i might force myself to delete them because i may not be able to accommodate other new friends into getting to know them and their discussions.

This happens to me also.I jsut hesitate to delete them for good because of the feeling that I am going to sever the ties forever. What I do is giving a long rope before deleting their names.I do this deleting part very rarely since I think that it consukes my time in Mylot without any useful purpose.

I also have the same problem. If you ask me, I would try to communicate with them through private messaging system in mylot. If no response, then I will remove them from my friends list. This is a good way to check whether our friends are active or not, rather than searching for their participation in Discussions.
It's better to keep active friends so that we can discuss and respond useful matters through out the membership in mylot.

Hello riyasam,
I would keep them on my friends list anyway. They may one day answer you or send you something or want to talk to you. Don't give up. You never know... : )

In my opinion, deleting friends would not be an option. Even though they have not been very active here, why would you do such thing? Maybe someday they will be back and look for you. But later found out that you have deleted them. That would be a very sad feeling i might feel when someone does the same with me. What if you are the one who's inactive? Would you want to be deleted by friends? Why would you add them in the first place if you are just going to delete them.

I think if they have been inactive for at least one month or more, it is quite safe to assume that they will not be coming back any time soon, and if they do, and really want your friendship, they may ask it again, can't they not ? There is no point on keeping them there because it makes it harder on you to keep track on the actual active friends that you have - trust me, i know what i am talking about.

What is the point in keeping all your friends in your list? Are you going to loose anything in keeping in your list or are you going to gain something in deleting all your non active friends? Keep them in your list and when they come online they will be so happy to see them in your friends list.

That would be completely up to you. I know some people go inactive for a while and then they come back. When some on the other hand never come back either because of life changes or they just got bored with the site. Maybe you can see how long they have been inactive. If it has been really long then chances are they are not coming back.
