crayons for your kids to draw with while you are out? My daughter loves to doodle. Usually when we go to restaurants they have crayons and paper for the kiddies. We went to Dennys recently (the weekly outing with Uncle)and they had neither. She became upset when I had paper in my purse, and no crayons.

Hi ersmommy, when my son was in his pre kindergarten, he loved to sketch the thing he liked whenever he came across any. Though his sketching was not looked like what the actual thing exactly the same, from its rough outline we still could catch what he was sketching. He just liked to express what he had seen by sketching but he didn’t like to do any coloring.
He would show his tantrum by keeping on making noise and asking for pencil and paper continuously if he couldn’t get any pencil and paper to draw the stuffs which he loved at that moment then. I knew this when one day while we were riding on a ferry leaving for my younger sister in law’ house, my little kid asked for pencil and paper but we couldn’t give him anything, for we didn’t bring along with us any of these. He then started crying and making noise until I gave him my eyebrow pencil and a piece of paper with one side blank which we got from the food kiosk in the ferry. Since then I always dump some papers and pencil as well in my bag whenever going out.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

Hi ersmommy, thanks for the best response. And here I would like to share with you a little more about my kid. Hope that you won’t feel bored to read it.
Yeah my kid liked to do the sketching only if there was some things really inspired him. I didn’t understand why he disliked coloring but sketching only during his days in kindergarten. His kindergarten teacher had much influence on him in this interest. She used to praise his cartoons which told simple stories and she pasted them on the display board. Anyhow he was willing to try coloring during his third grade of elementary days. Happy posting and take care.

Hello ersmommy. We did not carry around paper and crayons for my son when he was young. But he liked to play with toy cars of different kinds. Even when he was thirteen or so, he still liked to get toy cars. But my five-year-old niece likes to draw very much. She learns to draw a lot in the kindergarten and at home. Happy posting, friend.

Yep. My daughter loves to draw. I keep a little bag of crayons, about 10, and a mini coloring book although I'm about to exchange that for a small notepad since she's in a "coloring is boring, I want to draw" stage. They come in handy in all sorts of places!

Sounds like a good idea. We used to have a magnetic-doodle pad for the car. It got destroyed. I should probably go buy a new one.
