What do you do when you have a real tough time?

I wonder how most people handle tough times, when it really seems so hopeless. Maybe you need lots of money, or things are tough in your marriage/relationship, or your kids are not doing well, or if you don't have kids, someone you love. I found that trying to be positive is a real answer, hard as it may be. Just counting my blessings and thanking God for all the good things and even for the problems, knowing that they'll work out somehow and there will be something good coming out of the situation. Does anyone have experiences on the same line?

In the past I would panic and I felt like it was all my responsibility to fix everything and make it right. I have since been learning that I have to trust in the Lord to lead me in the right direction and to follow that direction. I have the basic necesities in life and that is a huge blessing in itself. When I do have a problem and feel like I am being pulled back into the panic zone, I take a deep breath and remind myself of what I have and if I take it one step at a time and remember to have faith it will all work out.
