Do you cry easily?

Are you the sort of person that tears up over every little thing or do you reserve crying for things like funerals only? I tend to be pretty unemotional and only cry over 'big' things but the occasional sad movie or news story will still get me a little misty too. And when my sister got married I stood there at the alter as her maid of honor blubbering like a baby. Otherwise it takes a pretty big fight or something like that to get my waterworks going. What about everyone else? What kind of things make you weepy?

I cry pretty easily. When I am emotional, shouted at, feel very, very uncomfortable or embarrased and such. I can also cry because I feel the pain of someone else; I am pretty good at trying to feel what another person feels but it can also be a bit tricky if you are feeling the same emotions and can't handle them in the proper way. Movies can get me going as well. The last few years this is getting a bit less, I think that's a good thing. Crying is not a bad thing, but it has to be under control for most of the time unless there are big things like someone passing away and such. A sad movie isn't an issue either, but I like to have my emotions under controll and not to cry when people shout at me but keep myself together.

Crying is definitely natural but it's good to be able to control in when you have to. I can get a little misty during a sad movie or when reading a sad story but I can totally keep a lid on it in public.

jesssp I guess you could call me a cry baby, but I really don't cry when I'm sad, but turn on The Notebook and watch out the flood gates open. I also cry when I'm happy and when I'm so mad that I can't speak so I cry so my head won't explode. Its not easy to cry, my husband can't cry, I think his tear ducts are all dried up. I think I saw his eyes swell up twice in the last ten yrs. But when I'm really stressed out, a good all out cry make me feel so much better.

I've heard that a million times about The Notebook but I've never seen in. I tend to avoid movies that I know are going to make me cry!

i am emotional but do not like to cry in front of other if i can help it. sad movies make me cry. anything that harms a child makes me cry and the thought of my son growing up and moving out someday is just beyond weeping. i do not like to cry, i do not think anyone does, but i allow myself to do it when it need to because i think it is way worse to hold it in. i do not blubber though.

no, i'm not the kind of person who cry a lot. i usually don't show too much emotions whenever i'm with someone else. i guess i don't want to show any sign of weakness in me. i laugh at my problems because i don't want other people to worry about me. but whenever i'm alone, it's the most comfortable time for me to let go of whatever feelings i have inside. i oftentimes end up crying in my room when i know no one would really bother me. i know it sounds so weird but that's the way i got used to :D but as i grow older, i understand and realize the need to open up to other people and find comfort and caress from them. and hey, it actually feels better! besides, it's also a way to know who your true friends really are.

I agree with you, it's good to let go but there's a time and a place for it.

When I encounter something really touching no matter bad or good things, I feel emotional then the tears starts falling automatically... It's really hard to control, I try to hold it but... the tears won't listen to me :-\

I'm not usually like that with touching things but when my sister got married I really surprised myself. I just thought it was no big deal (to be the maid of honor). Once I was up there and the ceremony started I saw them looking into each other's eyes and you could just feel how much they loved each other. I cried through the entire thing!

Well, the last time I cried for someone was several years ago. It was after then that I realised that the person did not deserve any attention from me and I have moved on after that. Apart from that,I never cry, come what may.I take a quiet notice of the things/situation around me and then I work my way as to how to get rid of the problem. Thinking practically, crying never solves any problems, does it?

Nope it certainly doesn't. Sometimes people can't help crying but ultimately it wont solve anything.

Hello again jesssp I cry easily over sad movies, especially when it involves kids. Whenever I'm watching those heavy drama movies, a trusted tissue is beside me.My husband teases me about this, saying I'm a cry baby! Another thing that makes me cry easily, too is when I'm sooooo mad! In the past, when my husband and I have an argument, I can barely tell him what I want to say. Because I'm choking in tears! But then, my tears are his weakness. As soon as he sees me crying, he tries his best to make amends, even if it's my fault!hehehe!

Sometimes I will get so mad I cry but I try my hardest in an argument to keep the tears under wraps. If I think I wont be able to help it then I just walk away. And sad movies about kids or animals will usually get me!

Same here. I cry when I'm yelled at, embarrassed or humiliated. Occasionally, a movie or real life event (something I hear on the news) will get to me.

Only two things have made me cry in the past year, and it deals with leaving my boyfriend. No not leaving him relationship wise, but he lives four thousand miles away, so when we see each other, we eventually have to leave each other, and that is a really sad thing to go through. He left to go back to Sweden last July after staying for a month, and then I stayed a month, December- January, and I cried a lot then too. Those are the only things that make me really upset though, to love someone so much, and then have to leave each other knowing it will be a while until we see each other again hurts the most! After about a week or two I feel back to normal again, but that is a horrible bump that I have to go over.

Aww, that's sweet. Things like that are definitely emotional even if you're not generally the emotional type.

I'm a cry baby.. i tend to cry easily most especially when i feel bad or someone's mad at me.. recently, i cried a river(due to family and health issues).. i've been confined in the hospital for four days due to Diabetes.. yes, at a young age, i've got the illness already.. poor me.. then my family was mad at me.. because they found out about my partner.. they are against our relationship.. i've tried explaining my side but they never bother to listen.. i was hurt, deeply hurt.. if they only knew how wonderful my partner is.. he's been there to support me, he didn't go to work for two days just to make sure i'm alright, he paid for the admission fee in the hospital(PHP 10,000), he paid for my glucose meter, he paid for my medicines, he pays for our rent, he never fails to make me smile, etc... i thought my family would understand but i was wrong.. they've told me that if i'm not going to leave my partner, they would never ever help me again.. whew! i can't believe it! i shouldn't have not ask for their help if that's the case.. good thing, my hubby and friends are there to give me emotional support.. one of my friends offered me financial help but i refused as i don't want to cause any trouble anymore.. i don't have a job because of my health condition.. and i hate it.. i'm depending on my earnings online to support myself.. i'm praying that God would grant me complete healing and yes, a miracle that i've been yearning for so long...

i barely every cry, i maybe will cry like 3 times out of the whole year. the last time i can remember crying it was when my cat ran away and didn't come back. i got very upset because i have 4 cats and he was the most friendly, the one i was closest with. i dont cry much, it takes something big to happen for me to even tear up.

I hardly ever cry, mainly because if I do I get a sinus headache. The worst time I started crying and couldn't stop was years ago when I saw Watership Down at the cinema. It was really embarrassing coming out into the foyer with tears pouring down my face after seeing an animated film about rabbits. Not the sort of film that many people cry at!

Well as much as I dont want to cry tears just easily fall whether it is being happy or sad. I wish to reserve my tears to big events but I am a very emotional person. When I talk you can sense or feel strongness in my commands and in my actions but my emotions when tested is really soft and low. Happy mylotting =)

There are times when I can't help but cry. I was actually crying all night yesterday and I couldn't even go to sleep. It was all because I felt like I did something wrong and I felt so ashamed of myself. It happened after I had a phone conversation with my grandmother then she scolded me. I wasn't thinking rationally so I answered back which was wrong. Then she got somewhat angry. I was crying when I put down the phone and my boyfriend asked me what's wrong. Then it's crazy how I just poured all my locked up feelings and remember all the not so good things I have done from months and even years ago. Talk about guilt! Maybe I just tend to be so hard on myself sometimes. I know I should work on my insecurities and try to make myself a better person.

I easily cry, very emotional and transparent, sad movies and talking heart to heart to the people close to me can make me cry. Just 3 hours ago, my heart pump deep emotion because I read a very touching story from boston.com about the emotional meeting of a 71-year-old firefighter and a 40-year-old woman the firefighter saved 40 years ago from a blazed. The meeting was so emotional according to the news and as I read the content I also cried.
