It's the little things....

...that mean the most. We all know the saying, but I think it's really true. Here's my little thing today that just made my day. I have been craving chocolate cake for over a week. I have told other people about wanting a slice of chocolate cake and they just laughed and thought I was being silly, I kind of was, but I still wanted it.
Well, tonight, whether she thought I was being silly or not, my sister-in law bought me a chocolate cake.
Yea, it's not a huge deal to anyone else but me. But not only is it nice because it was something I wanted, but becuase she thought about me when she didn't have to and I didn't expect it.
So when and what was the last little thing that someone did for you? Maybe they held the door open for you, let you ahead of them in the grocery line, brought you a cup of coffee when they went for their own. Any little thing that just kind of brightened your day.

My daughter went shopping, and wanted me to go along. She's very independant, so this was a big deal to me. Then, on our way home, she drove through a fast food joint and got me a treat I've been wanting all week. It was nice that she thought of me all day, wanting me along on an all day trip, then treating me afterwards.

the little things become bigger than the biggest things for the mean a lot. i am not feeling well today my right ear is aching. my children told me to relax and just be at the pc. since it is a saturday they will be the one cooking and doing the chores. that is really big for me. lol. i will go to the doctor later but for the mean time while they are cleaning the house i am here at mylot.

i love my children and they love me as well. i am a single mom for seven years now and we left my husband for he was an abusive person. i know that my children loves me so much for i tagged them along and never left them with their dad. i myself can not allow that. so i know they appreciate that thing i did. it is not an easy life to ba a single mom of four but i know they do appreciate the hard work

You are so right when you say that the little things make a big difference in your day and mood.Whem I went to a MUN in a college there were sooo many people there.The doors were opened by a card key and since I had my hands full and didn't want to dig in my pocket for the card,but when I got to the door someone was holding it open for me.I grinned and she said that she'd heard me coming and so had waited for me to come.That just made my day.I felt so happy I thanked her for her kindness........But it just goes to show that even little gestures count.
