To honour involves recognizing and complying to parent authority. While children may not agree to the rules that is set. God has given parent certain authority in the family, And children must recognize parent God given authority to make rules. Some parent are lenient than others, but the bottom line is parent have the job to decide what is best. And different family have different standards. Even the best parent at times can be occassionally unfair. But every good parent rules or commandments are usually intended for the good of the children, and is a expression of genuine love and concern.
