hello everybody here at Mylot.
have you-all ever tried to make any homemade candy before of any kind? i make delicious chocolate and white chocolate peanut butter candy. i have tried to make homemade peanut brittle before and i think that my problem with that has been not spreading the peanut brittle thinly enough after it gets done. and for the most part, those are the only two candies that i have ever tried to make before.
so tell me, do you make homemade candy of any kind? if so, what kind of homemade candy do you like to make?
thanks for sharing and have a beautiful evening.

Hi TnWoman,
That sound soooo delicious!!!, I haven't made any candy in my life because I'm no good at it but when I was in school many years ago I tried to make toffee but I messed it up and that was the last time I've ever done anything candy. Love and hugs.

I make fudge of all kinds for holidays and parties. My most requested flavors are Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Peppermint, Mayan Chocolate and Butterscotch fudge. I also enjoy making chocolates in candy molds...it's really quite easy to do. Occasionally, I make chocolate nut bark as well.
I haven't tried making brittle, but would be willing to give it a try. Does anyone have any good recipes to share?

I have tried to make homemade candy before and it did not turn out too well. LOL.
I have more luck with cookies and cakes.

Telling us you make delicious chocolate and white chocolate peanut butter candy just makes me salivate....how about sending 1 kilogram of that over! I'll pay for the air freight...LOL. Actually I don't make candies here or even bake cookies. I'm a guy, so in a way, you've got to expect that, right? I do make cheesecakes though (the type without the need to bake) and they are usually very yummy and delicious. But that's very rich and so we don't make that often, only when we are itching to eat it.

I seldom make any candies, however I am very into chocolate and I usually make chocolate cups when I get really bored *laughs*. Here is the recipe, if you are interested:

Hi TnWoman! Yes, I did try to make homemade candies before and if I have enough time, I would still want to make some. I used to make "polvoron" which is a powdered milk candy, made of flour, sugar butter and powdered milk. I also make those sticky candies that are made of grounded peanuts, milk, butter and sugar. Actually those are the only candies that I have tried doing on my own.
Take care and have a great day!

I make toffee all the time. I don't keep it around and eat it though. I sell mine. I actually make decent money doing it as well. I have made peanut brittle before and it turned out ok. I did the old fashioned stuff so it is kind of yellowish. I make peanut butter buckeyes all the time too. My son just loves those if I put white chocolate on a few for him. I have made hard candy a few times and it came out pretty good. I bought a few hard candy molds. I use them for the hard candy and for little toffee pieces.

I usually make fudge but only during the holidays.. If I make it, I have to eat it, so that doesn't work well with me.. I made the chocolate fudge and the peanut butter fudge this last year.. One time my peanut butter fudge recipe came out all wrong, and it looked like a gooey caramel.. I took small spoons of it and rolled it into balls and dipped it in melted chocolate and everyone loved them, as a matter of fact, I got requests for more of them.. I am not sure how to do it again as it was a mistake in the first place..
