Hi fellow mylotters! I'm just wondering if you guys wanna post some discussion but you can't 'cause you don't have anything to talk about? If so, what do you do? Do you have any suggestions how to prevent it?

When I have no discussion ideas, which is most of the time, I simply come here and respond to other people's discussions I would rather answer a discussion than start one anyways

That's what I do, too. If I don't have anything in mind for a discussion. I just respond to anything that interest me. But, I think you'll earn more if you're starting a discussion than responding. But, I guess if you're really responding many quality responses, that's about equal to starting a discussion.

True, it does seem like I earn more when I have started a discussion

That will help, thanks a lot! I guess it's pretty important we stay updated on our friends' discussion so that from thereon, we could get some ideas on what to start for a discussion 'cause sometimes, running out of ideas is just like having a writer's block, just needed to have a push or motivation to prevent it. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hi the_dutchess, On my own opinion, I think everyone is experiencing running out of discussions once in a while. When I was just starting here, I keep it to myself that I will start a discussion at least twice a day. But that was not realize because of so many reasons. First is that, there were times that I was so busy and cannot ponder what topic to start. Secondly is that, sometimes I already had my topic but when I found out that other members had already posted similar discussion, I not post my discussion anymore. I think it is very normal to run out of ideas sometimes. About thinking of topic to start is not that easy. Sometimes what I am doing is observing on things around me such as the people, events, animals and other stuffs. From that observation, sometimes I got an idea. Then I will just write it down on my notebook and try to describe it clearly. I think that it is really nice for a discussion to be so elaborate so that mylot members who will respond to it will understand it thoroughly.Another way of thinking a topic is reading books. I got some ideas on it too. And also by reading some discussions here help me to get some ideas on what topic to start.Hope this helps

Well-explained. Yeah, I think every Mylotter runs out of idea once in a while but it's good to know there's people like you who can share some ideas on how to have an idea for a discussion and how to be a responsible Mylotter by not posting discussions that already exist.

Every day I have the same worry, and ask myself if I need to save some ideas for the next day. But actually I never do that, because I am eager to share my views and to seek for advice or opinions from friends on site. And the next day, from messages and information we get from people around, from media, and from friends' discussions, new ideas popp up from time to time. No worry about running out of ideas for discussion. At least for me for the moment.

Thanks for sharing us your thoughts. That will help me and other Mylotters if they don't have anything to post for a discussion, you know, getting ideas from messages and information around other people.

I just go to my interests forst, and see if there are any new and interesting posts to comment on. I also check out the new and recent discussions, as theres always something out there!! You can always check out some that yours friends have started, too, because they usually have the same interests.
