You instantly wake up after your clock alarmed, or hit that snooze button?

I'm lucky that I can sleep anytime I want and wake up anytime I want, since I work part time for now, my work starts at 7pm. So I've got plenty of time for myself and for other things. However, when there are times that I have to wake up early for important matters, and everytime I set my clock phone for the time I should be up, I don't normally wake up instantly, but instead I'll say to myself, "5 minutes!" and hit the snooze button. And after 5 minutes, I'd say again, "5 more minutes!", I do this several times, 'til I reach an hour because of snoozing. I have a little wake up problem, I know! Lol And I have always been late to wherever I'm going, I'm the late princess (not something really that I'm proud of). But lately, I've trying to work on this, I'm trying to be on time. So, do you press that snooze button? Maybe not exactly what I do, let an hour to pass.. Lol

I never use alarm clocks and have never had to - yet! I wake up and just get right out of bed in the morning. I would never use the snooze button. I am definitely a morning person. But then I also sleep lightly and don't sleep much, so that might be it too. I figure it will catch up with me one day and I will have to start actually using the alarm on my clock (and maybe the snooze button??):-)

Hi friend! I have to wake up by 6.00 in the morning when the alarm rings even I press on the snooze button and sleep for 10-15 minutes and get up if again I am late means then my daughter who has to leave for college will get late I have to make her wake up. I have to complete all house chores by 8 am and should get ready for office. If i leave my home by 9 m still I am late by 10-15 minutes. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Good for you, I envy you. I always sleep for 5 hours only everyday because my schedule at work is early in the morning. I also do the same as you do. Every time my cell phone alarms, I don't wake up and sleep instead. I also hit the snooze button again especially if I still feel like sleeping again causing me to wake up and arrive in the office late. I think it's advisable if you put your cell phone away from you so that it will alarm continuously and be forced to wake up.

I used to do that, put off getting up until I would be running so late and it would ruin my whole day! I have trained myself to get up as soon as the alarm goes off. I am a morning person so that helps. I am up before dawn every day because I find I can accomplish more in the morning. Having said that keep in mind that it took years to break the "5 minutes more" habit and I love getting up early now, although when I am extra tired it is still a bit of a struggle.

my wife does hit the snooze button a couple of times. She wakes half an hour earlier than I do. When she manages to wake up she would be my alarm ans she would shake me to wake up for work. It is the worst alarm clock that I have had.

I wake up i turn it off and i go back to sleep. Unless the dog decides she wants out then shes VERY insistent that i get up. If i go back to sleep i tend to wake up and go OMG i have 10 minutes to get ready to leave for work...and i end up being a tad bit late despite having adjusted my alarm earlier.

The alarm clock is on my husbands side of the bed and he is a big time snoozer. We had to move to his side because I am such a heavy sleeper I don't even hear it going off. The worst part is that it so loud that it usually wakes the kids up on the other side of the house before it wakes us up.

My partner is in charge of the alarm, it is on his side of the bed, though when I take a nap, or sleep alone, I tend to turn off my cellphone alarm.

LoL ~ okay, I'm going to explain what I do to wake up in the morning time. I set my alarm to automatically go to snooze if I don't turn in off. So it will buzz for 60 secs. And then it will go off again every 10 minutes usually 5 times. I figure at least by the third time I've listened to the alarm going off that I would finally get up. It's rare for me to go past the 3 alarms. So for me I don't have to set or push my snooze button at all.

Hello my dear smooch091784 Ji,
I never use any Alarm clock, my hubby is more than alarm, and I too get up as per my
schedule. It is my habit. Also, while in service, I was never put on shift duties as
I remained school teacher before my marriage and after my marriage a house-wife. My
hubby will always get up early and make me get up, so taht I could make my all children
fit to go to school. may god bless you and have great time.

I do admit that i have that problem too. I set an alarm of the clock for a certain time but i never instantly get up, i just like to hit the snooze button of switch it off, coz i wanted to sleep more. When my hubby wakes me up i always says, "5 minutes" and another "5 minutes" that 5 minutes syndrome! Until i get late on my appointment. It's not really a healthy habit, don't blame me, i just love my bed lolz.

I used to hit the snooze button all the time so now I have moved the clock far enough away that I have to get out of bed to stop the alarm.
And I also turn my cell phones off so I don't have any disturbing phone calls when I am asleep.
A late princess is definitely better than no princess at all.
Crocket.

I guess i am very blessed to be able to get up when ever i here an alarm. I am not a snooze button hitter. My problem is finding things to do after i am awake that tend to make me lose track of time, laundry, reading, bills, email..lol
i am not late for things just rushed at the last minute since i side tracked to get my to do list done
happy snoozing
