Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Walk your god; chase your kids; toss balls with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more.

I try to do that, but my arthritis is getting so bad in my knees that it hurts a lot. I know that the more I move around the better I'll feel but some days I have a lot of trouble just climbing the stairs to go to bed!
In the past, when I felt good, I would do things like put away one dish at a time so I'd make several trips to the cabinet. Doing things like that really got me to move more!

Yes you are right, if you think "health is wealth" then try to protect it by your suggestions. My thoughts are similar to your. i always prefer to go by steps, love to chase and play with kids, always love to stretch and to move fulll body. God has given us limb to move so its our duty to protect god's gift. Happy HealthLotting!

I read somewhere quite some time ago that fidgeting helps you burn calories, so I guess a significant increase in movement can boost calorie burning even more. I agree that you don't have to go to the gym unless you're willing to, but movement is always good. Just don't be lazy. Avoid lying around too much. Do more things, and it'll make a difference.
