We can think of a hundred and one ways to spend the big V-day with people that we love and care about. Candlelight dinners at fancy restaurants, out-of-town trips, renting a good romantic movie or simply preparing a special dinner at home for two. We can go traditional or we can try to be creative. Eitherway, we are determined to make the day really special.
But it got me thinking. There are a whole lot of people out there who, like me, would have to do without all these because our loved ones are probably more than a thousand miles away. So this is not only for the sake of discussion actually, i need IDEAS^^ - ideas on how I could still manage to celebrate this day without having to feel the distance too much. Hope that with all the effort, I could still somehow bring a big smile on my sweetie's face.^^ Thanks in advance. Happy mylotting!!^^

well, you can still simply stay happy with your friends. Hang out with them. And with your love one who's far away, set a schedule to meet him on cam. For sure, he has something to surprise you. Don't make yourself lonely thinking that he's not with you to celebrate a LOVE day. Love is just around the corner even he's there. You know.. :) cheer up and have fun!! :)

hi gawrdy00z_abby,
I can say that celebrating special occasions especially in a long distance relationship requires creativity.I am in long distance relationship also for more than a year now. Your topic reminds me of myself when we are starting our relationship of my boyfriend.Usually, when there is an occasion that is near like birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries and others, we are planning it ahead of time.We usually chat and and share ideas with each other. Sometimes, we send cards with heart warming messages with each other.Sometimes, we will set day in which he will not go to work and I will set aside some household chores just for us to have a long time of chatting with each other.I can say that even it is ordinary chat we spent with each other, it also became special because it is spent on the one dear to me.And if there will be enough time, sometimes we share videos with each other. On that video, we say special words for each other. It is so nice when messages are in videos because it is as if the one you love is just in front of you speaking. You can see his facial expressions and you can feel every words too.I hope that this little ideas helps. Happy mylotting

Oh i am very well interested to reply in this discussion because my love and i have a long distance relationship. We are 4 years now and we manage to celebrate Valentine day together chatting online, talking bout love, celebration and all. We use microphone, cam and all to feel that we are so close together. But come to think of it, i am very happy spending my life everyday because i am thinking of him a lot, caring and loving him everyday and not just every Valentine's day only.
I love him a lot :)
happy mylotting!!!!
