I have an I-pod with me which is of 2GB capacity.I love to hear songs especially during travel because you can get the feel by seeing outside scenaries as well as the fresh air.I like to read magazines quite rarely.
What you do?
Happy myloting

My flight from London to Cape Town was scheduled to depart at 19.35 however due to fog it got diverted to Manchester. Then it had to fly back to London and it also had to be cleaned. It was meant to be a four hour delay but it didn't leave until almost 01.00. I read a travel magazine and did some writing in my note book. I sent a text message and listened to some music. I emailed my guest house to let them know at picking me up later than we had arranged. My toddler son got really sleepy and shops closed at 22.00 then the cleaners started with their loud hovers. We arrived in Cape Town and got chatting to the receptionist. She told me about a lady that had come there from Angola and she didn't speak an English. So that was interesting and we waited ages to be picked up by the driver taking us to the guest house.

If I'm not driving, I like to read while on a long journey. I also like to just look out the window and daydream.

As you mentioned seeing outside sceneries then I assume you are talking about a car or rail journey. What I like to do on long journeys like that is to work on my handwork, like embroidery or knitting. The same applies when I am traveling by plane, as the time sure flies with something like cross-stitch, as one gets so engrossed!

Definiely a good book and a stack of magazines. Perhaps some crosswords and other puzzles. A pack of gum. Add a meditation CD to your IPOD or a audio book that you can listen to.

Hi, I love long journeys especially by train. It gives me some "me time" I take my letter writting set and catch up with friends and I take my nail set to buff my nails. I take my phone with a radio in it and an mp4 player to watch movies. I just love the time it takes :0)x

I always watch scenaries outside the long journey.I just have a phone with 1 GB capacity.I can listen to my favorite songs in the night. As it is dark outside the the window.I will just sit idle most of the time in the train.I will try to eat and drink something if hungry or thirsty.

it's very useful to have an ipod! it's a good idea buying it!! I also admire the sightseeing while travelling.
besides, I usually enjoy talking to the people who travel with me..
anyway, it depends on the means of transport. if i'm on a plane, I usually talk to the person sat close to me, or I watch a movie on the monitor installed on the backside of seat of the passenger before me...
if i'm in a car, i normally get bored very easily. infact, if i try to read, i get sick in a sudden.
