What is the point???

What is the point in life exactly??? Some people want money, some want love, some want both...All i want is a house on the beach with no neighbours to annoy me...Im constantly telling people this when they ask me why i only work in a bar part time and what do i want to do with me life....if i wanted,i could go to university, get a dreary 9-5 job and be miserable but i dont want to...i stayed at school, did my highers so i would have the choice later on in life... To be happy,we need the freedom to choose...why cant people accept this and be happy with us,for us and stop judging us? Find who you are and be yourself...

The point in life is very simple. It is what you'd like it to be. You're the main actor in your life and you direct it everyday. Some people wants material things some people wants basic things and are happy about it. Do what you feel like & wear sunscreen:-) The most interesting people i have met do everything and nothing. They just hop on the first train to unknown shores. Meaning: new jobs, challenge in life, new choices, new meanings etc. If you want a house you should go for it. It's better doing things you love and feel safe, then going to unknown places all the time if you don't like it.

I don't know why people have to judge others that way. People normally do what makes them happy. Money doesn't buy happiness and some people seem to think it does. So if you choose not to live that lifestyle people that do live that lifestyle feel the need to judge you. I dont think they really understand.

Let me tell you even if you have a house at beach still you may find annoyance in life for one reason or the other. The solution lies in making oneself so strong that nothing in the world can annoy you and that comes from within not from outside situation. Here I would like to narrate a beautiful story. There was one saint Mahatama Buddh, One person was annoyed with him as his only son had become the saints disciple. So one day he came and shouted at Lord Buddha after he finished , saint asked the man if he gives gifts to someone who does not accept then where does the gift remain to which man answered naturally with the giver. Then saint told him sorry my friend I cannot accepts your gifts and walked away cooly. So one has to be so calm from inside that nothing can move him or her.

If people were truly happy with their own lives, then I guess they wouldn't feel the need to constantly judge someone else's! I don't know what it is really. Maybe it all comes down to these stereotypical expectations of what we all SHOULD be doing in life, rather than an acceptance that each and every one of us is motivated differently. Yes it's about choice and these are choices that we need to be able to make individually. No-one but us has the right to dictate what makes us happy! On the flip side though, if we are married or have our own families, then our priorities DO need to change because it is not all about just us anymore.

The point in life is to please your parents, be successful, be a great friend and change somebody's life, praise God, do good deeds, work hard so you wont go crazy, and follow your dreams. We are put here in this Earth as a test from God if we will listen to what the devil tells us to do or follow the righteous path

I guess, those people who are constantly bugging you aren't happy with their own lives.. if they aren't happy then it isn't your problem anymore.. they don't have the right to make yours miserable.. crab mentality's been one of the major problems in the society... and i hate it! i hate it when people are trying to pull you down..

i guess life's a gift to enjoy and not a problem to solve. well for me, personally, i just live life to the fullest and make sure that in whatever i do, i know that i'm happy and contented with it. the most important thing in life is to love and be loved. it could either be from God, parents, friends and acquaintances.

you cannot please everybody. people do not have satisfaction. if they see other people working hard to live a life they will have negative remarks, when they see people too lax with their lives they will have negative comments again. in this case human do not have a level of satisfaction at some point of their judgement towards other people. in your case just leave them as they are, ignore the people that will pull you down. concentrate on your life. focus on the things that will make you happy.

Thats a nice point you made ,Stacey, i too sometimes wonder about such questions ,dont understand why people are just in such a hurry ,they just forget that it is the moment right now that matters the most than some unpredictable future ahead of them . I loved the freedom part that you told ,even some point in my life i was being judged ,finally i took a stand ,i started just listen to them but acted according my will and my choice alone ,and believe me i enjoy every moment these days. Hope more people understand these philosophy , cheers! Vishwas

The point in life is to find true happiness - the kind that will last forever. Some people, when they're at the happiest point in their lives, say that they could die at that moment. I say, why? Don't they want to enjoy life some more? Really, I think we all live because we're given the chance to pursue joy. It doesn't matter where we get happiness - it's subjective like beauty and love. Whether we find that we're happy with lots of money or with lots of friends or with a family we love, we live because we're happy. The essence of life is everything in it.
