Have you guys ever come across a moment in life; where you have felt helpless?

Recently I was away from the office as well as Mylotting routine because of a problem with one of our very close acquaintances. ALthough they are not related to me by blood, but still the connect has been very strong from the time i was a little kid. Recently one of my uncle's daughter; who is like a kid sister to me, had a problem. She had a sudden stroke almost akin to epilepsy; with a foaming mouth and later on she fainted. Since then, 15 days have passed, and 7 days ago, when finally all the reports had come out, they were informed by the doctor that their daughter had a malignent tumour located at a very critical place in the head.
SInce the last 7 days; my Uncle and me have been busy going from one doctor to the other in order to find a solution. But after visiting the best institutes in Delhi; we are slowly beginning to realize the inevitable. It is such a bad feeling i tell you; you feel so helpless; you look at the sufferings and pain of the poor parents of that little girl, and you think, God! How could you be so cruel?

At the times of illness or someones demise then you do feel helpless and it looks this whole world is just an illusion, today it is there tomorrow it would not be there. I felt helpless at the demise of my father.Complete responsibility of family came on me and my mind became so numb that it was becoming impossible to think ofanything.

Hello prashantatrohini18! I had experienced it too. My brother got sicked and that we don't know the reason why. He became very thin and he can't move himself anymore. My parents then decided to take him to the hospital. Everyday, he became weak and that the doctors are still observing, checking and examining him. They gave him some medicine but it didn't help. We are very helpless. We are always at the hospital and everyday I cried because I saw my parents suffered as well as my brother. I didn't blame God. We prayed for him everyday. Until one day, the doctor came and he said that they can't do anything about it. They can't see any sickness and that said to my mom better to sent him home. I cried and afraid because it might be his end. We brought him home in our hometown with trust in God. Then my mom decided to bring my brother at the church. They prayed there and my mom prayed that he would let my brother serve God if He will let my brother live. After one day, my brother felt ok and he got stronger everyday that he was able to stand and walk by himself. I know God has something to do with it. We do believe that God is out there and that everything that happened has a purpose. No matter what happen to your uncle's daughter, just accept it and that trust in God always.

Ya i can realize the pain and suffering that you and your parents must have gone through. And especially if you think of the pain in the context of the parents, you will realize that it is they who suffer the most under these situations.
Now that i am a parent myself, i can relate to that feeling of the amount of attachment parents have for their kids. And to see them suffering, without being able to do anything about it is probably the worst thing that can happen to anyone.
You can bear your own pain; but you can not bear the pain and sufferings of your children. It is one of the most bitter pills to swallow in life really.
Anyways!I am going through all the possible channels of treatment that could possibly save my uncle's daughter; let's see...but when i look at their empty faces; holoow with no expression; i really feel devastated.

I agree with you..during that time, I really would want to carry all the burden of my parents but there's really nothing I can do..I was really helpless that time. I am glad that God is so good..

It happens to me all the time and I feel that my life is destined for failure. I then sit in meditation and things get better as if by magic. Cheers!!!

It happens too often when you are young; but as you grow up and start maturing, you start becoming more sore shock absorbing and more stable mentally. But still there are certain situations in life, which move even the most balanced individuals. Probably this is one of them.
Thanks a lot for your encouragement though buddy!
Cheers!
