I don't smoke everyday. Sometimes when I hang out with friends I smoke. My wife and I are trying to have our own child. She says that my smoking may cause the delay of her getting pregnant.

I am not aware of medical updates on this matter but I can give you my personal experience. I started smoking when I was 16 and gave birth to my son when I was 25. His father was not a smoker. My son has since married and he smokes although less than me. His wife, my daughter-in-law, has given up smoking. She became pregnant last year as they too want children. If I could put back the clock then I would not have started smoking, not so much for health reasons but for the waste of money. I daren't stop and think how much it hs cost me to smoke for so many years. If you smoke so few then why not give up altogether?

I have heard that smoking can reduce the quality of your sperm. Whether it's true or not, i'm not that sure, you can always check it out from the internet. But i think it's better not to smoke since it's not good for your and your family's health.
