^_^ Howdy!.... Mylotters!....
It's a nice Beatles song.
So, what will you doing when your already at the age of sixty four or a senior citizen?
Will you still send valentine cards or birthday greetings to your sweetheart if still around.... lol...
For me when I'm at sixty four. Is that I don't want to stop on wishing for the happiness and goodness for my sweetheart and for my family.
So how about you?....
^_^ Thanks!.... and Enjoy!....

This poem I think sums it up best!
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple
With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit.
You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes.
But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.
But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple

hehehe, laglen, i don't believe that i want to grow old that way. i like to be just like those ones who have aged gracefully.
i can recall how my grandmother used to be when she was old. now, my mother is already in her 80's and she is still graceful. soon, i will be in the ranks with my mother. i am hoping that my condition will even be much better than how she is now. (wishful thinking, huh?). they always say that the old folks have better health than the ones after them. maybe, it is not bad if i'd hope that this time, mine will be much better.
my mother, by the way, still works at the farm in her own sweet, slow, little way.

^_^ Howdy!.... purple laglen!....
lol!.... That was a nice poem so cute. And I like those pictures or avatar of yours "sisters holding rifles". I wonder what's that all about. Oh maybe its hunting season... yeah!....
Purple or violet is the color symbol for purification or cleansing.
^_^ Thanks!.... God bless!.... Peace!.... and Enjoy!.... myLot!....

actually, gjabaigar, i am not only nearing 64 i rather look i am already at it. this means that i already have a good idea as to what would i be like when i am 64.
if i live to see that day (it is already quite near), i hope to be staying at my mango farm. i will be tending to some chickens, sheep, goats and i will have a garden which can feed me with all my desired and loved vegetables. that will be an easy life for me. i will be doing light tasks only in the early mornngs and late afternoons. the hot hours will be spent at home or under the shade of the trees, shying away from the sun's angry heat. the air around me will smell so good and fresh, no pollution no contamination will be experienced there.
hmmm...actually, i can do this right now if only my youngest son has already substantially recovered from his health condition.

^_^ Mabuhay ka!.... trinidadvelasco!.... Just gj will do. ^_^
A life in the farm one of my greatest wishes. You trinidadvelasco are so lucky to have those that is so grate to have. I envy you.
I still have lots of long road and highways to journey. I'm still on 37 still single and so long way to go.
I just missed my grandama and grandpa. I don't have anymore near grandparents left they are all gone. They gone almost everyone at 90 plus of age.
But someday I will living also on the farm. And I still want to work more happily even when I'm on 64 or more.
^_^ Maraming salamat!.... God bless us all!.... Peace!.... and Enjoy!.... myLot!....

Great song! In 16 years I hope to still be sending valentine cards and birthday greetings to my sweetie. And maybe I will have some grandchildren to send a valentine to. But I'm getting ahead of myself, since my kids are still teens and living at home.
