Do you paint your nails?

I have to keep my nails short for work and varnish is not permitted. I have never been to a manicurist or had anyone else do anything to my nails (except my mum cutting then when I was too young to do it ... & when I broke my wrist and couldn't grip the clippers!)

I did at one time, though now it seems like more of a hassle to as I would have to remove the paint often for work. When I did, most of the time the color was black. The last time I did, a few weeks ago, it was a metallic dark purple that I mixed from a few different colors.

I used to manicure my nails, but I never painted them except with nail enamel to keep them healthy and smooth. I learned those tips from my wife who used to do her own manicures and pedicures. Later I stopped trying to keep up with the fashion and I just try to keep my nails from getting dirt underneath now. My wife do her nails every now and then. She also has pedicures down by a SPA treatment facility every quarter or so.

I always paint my toenails, especially in the summer (I live in Australia and it's hot right now.) The colour I am wearing right now is called "Mighty Mauve" and I love it! I generally like dark colours on my toes, don't know about black though! On my fingers I use "Fabulous Professional Intensive Growth" it is a nail hardener; it comes up frosty white on your nails, really helps them grow and you don't notice chips so much.

I paint my nails as well, but as a means of keeping myself from biting them. It looks like I'm painting little dots on my fingers, but I don't care. The only color I have right now is BLACK, so that's the only one I use. I'd like to one day paint it in blue, green, pink, purple and black--all in one day. But the thing is: one, I don't have enough nails for it, and two, I like Skin Food's colors best, but one bottle is Php225, which is obviously too much.

I would love to do my nails. I love seeing the fresh done of nails of the ladys at the bank. BUt unfortunately, I type alot during the day. So long nails that hinder me from typing are not beneficial for me. bummer

I threw away all my makeup and nailpaint,etc. at least 10yrs. ago. I refer to that stuff as hoe paint. Jokingly of coarse. I feel secure with myself without all that junk.

My wife always used to paint her nails and I just loved it. I didn't paint mine though. It ended up that she was doing for the guy at work and not for me. I didn't know! But I do agree with you that it does make you more beautiful. Crocket.

yes i paint nailpolish to my hand and leg fingers .but only on some occasions. daily i don't like to paint. i like colours of dark pink, dark brown and any dark colours. i don;t like natural colours and light colours.so i prefer for dark colours when i paint. i do in home only manicure and pedicure and it is for 2 weeks only like u.

Yes, I paint my nails. but I never manicure and pedicure them. I use home treatment such as salt and warm water and essentials. I often use soft color such as soft pink or natural pink. but lately I love to do different things such as paint my nails into black or blue or even green. I like it.

I have my daughter do it because she does such a great job and enjoys doing it. I dont do it all the time but when I do I get her to do it. On occasion Ill splurge and have it done professionally. I like all sorts of colors. Red is my all time favorite. When Ive had it done professionally in the past though I was displeased with it and I ended up with a fungus on my toe. It kinda turned me off to going to a salon. I do like the fact that it makes you feel feminine. It does make you feel clean too. The best part is it saves me money. We use the bartering system I babysit for her, she does my nails for me. Good trade off, huh!

yes i do. just like you, i have my pedi every two weeks. if i dont have my nails done i just feel that my feet looks dirty. i always try different colors. i have also tried black most of the time but i just noticed that black's making my nails look yellowish so i dont use it now often.

Well I prefer to do it myself to avoid murder over my ingrown and of course to save up some money. Now adays we need to be practical so if you know how to do things might as well go for it. Well first, I suck at it but because of practice it's getting better and better. Actually just did my nails last night and the color is pink hee hee.

I do, from time to time. I don't paint them too often, I only paint them when I am in the mood and sometimes I could go without painting nails for a few months.

I can't paint my fingernails because they chip too quickly. However, I keep my toenails painted all the time - a kind of maroon-ish-red-ish-purple-y color. :-)

i just let the salon do the pedicure thing and not on my hands. I am wearing contact lenses so its hard to paint my nails because it can affect my eyes. my favorite color is blue and red. Blue is a rare color for toes thats why i super love it. Its hot try it!:) while Red makes your toes whiter and glowing!:) Hope this can help you! Good day, wy

I also paint my fingers & toes black! (or sometimes brown, or red). I don't know what it is with dark colors, but they just look prettier. I enjoy painting my nails, although I don't consider it a serious hobby or necessity. (I just like having a little color on my nails). :)

yup, i guess i am one of the million girls likes to paint their nails. i do it by self too as i want to save more, rather than going to the expert lols... i clean and paint my nails once a week, and sometimes i discover different design and color mixing and its so fun as you develope design by your self,, it feels good and you feel proud to show off your nails to everybody. awesome!

I paint my nails to protect them sice I do a lot of manual labor and they can get thin and brittle.
