A recipe for Homemade Strawberry Shortcake

Does anyone have a good homemade recipe for strawberry shortcake? The strawberries are almost ready and will be a the farmer's market soon. I would love to be able to make a homemade strawberry shortcake, with the fresh strawberries. My children so enjoy the fresh strawberries and i am a big fan of them myself, but i have never been able to make a good strawberry shortcake.

i am sure that if you went to FoodNetwork's website, or Betty Crocker or Better Homes and Gardens or websites like that, you would probably be able to find more than just one recipe for a homemade strawberry shortcake. good luck to you in making that and when you do, let us all around here at Mylot know how that it turned out. i love homemade strawberry shortcake with loads of cool whip on them and tons of strawberries and the syrup that comes from the strawberries as well.
