What is your favorite thing to dip your french fries in?
My all-time favorite is ketchup. It is what I have used since I was a kid. I love ketchup on so many things.
Sometimes now, I like to dip them in ranch salad dressing. And on some rare occassions I will dip them in tartar sauce.

Its' alot like sweet and sour sauce but a million times better - its hard to describe other than that. I pour it over my chicken sandwhich with mayonaise and then dip the waffle fries in it! Awe my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Is there no chickfila in your area?

i think that the best dip for fries is ketchup...but for me i prefer to sprinkle plain iodized salt on my fries and nothing else...that way i can really taste the fries...i dont like fancy dips for them..because fries are already high on calories and the dips...well..they add more calories!

I like to be able to actually taste my food also as opposed to a seasoning or sauce. Potatoes is one of those foods it is hard to eat without salt.

i can eat my fries just tha way it is. and i really enjoy it with a lot of sauce also. i love it with ceasar salad dressing. i love it with chicken gravy, i also love it with mayonaise and catsup, i love it also wit catsup and mustard. i also love it with bbq sauce. i think eating fries is perfect with any combination. dip it with vanilla ice cream or milksahke is cool too. yum yum yum. but if there is nothing artound then i can eat my fries just that plain it does taste good.

Oh my gosh, I never knew people would put anything other than ketchup on their fries! I can;t even think about one thing someone said they top their fries with! (It's something I'm sensitive to that kind of makes me ill.) Occasionally I dip mine in BBQ sauce when I'm having fries as a side with something that has it as dipping sauce but I never pour anything over them I always put the condiment on the side and dip them. I use Spike on mine for added flavor and I also like melted cheese on them.

I like to eat my french fries with ketchup and barbecue sauce. I like to eat french fries with vinegar and salt. There are many good things to eat with french fries. I like primarily with ketchup and lots of other things like barbecue and seasonings.
I like the other thing like mayo also.

Usually just ketchup. But I have also had vinegar on them and I like that. I made some baked fries the other day. I just cut up some potatoes and seasoned and baked them. I dipped them in some blue cheese dressing and them and it tasted really good.

My mom used to make some baked fries that were good. It was kind of like a shake-n-bake type of thing. I liked them. I don't like blue cheese dressing much, but I think I'd like baked seasoned fries with ranch. It is a creamy dressing like blue cheese dressing.

I usually use just ketchup. The original's the best! I've been using ketchup since the first time I ate fries. I sometimes use plum sauce, or sweet and sour sauce, though I still prefer ketchup.
I'd never tried eating fries with ranch salad dressing before. LOL Now I want to go and get some fries and try it!

Arby's Curly Fries or Burger King fries are great by themselves with no sauce. At McDonald's they used to have pre-made packets of fry sauce (ketchup and mayo) but they don't anymore; now you have to make your own. At Red Robin I get their Campfire sauce which is like fry sauce except with barbeque instead of ketchup.
On crinkle cut or waffle fries I like A-1 steak sauce.... I think that just about *ahem* covers it hehe

I agree with you on Arby's Curly Fries and Burger King fries don't need any sauce. I eat both plain too, they're sooo good. Our McDonald's never had premade ketchup/mayo packets, but it'd be nice if they did. I mix the two together at home for stuff and at Long John Silvers.

I like to dip my fries/chips in ketchup too! But I do like to season them first really heavily with Tabasco sauce, vinegar and black pepper! This makes them really flavoursome and really spicey too! I know this is probably a bit way over the top for some people (when I season my fries, there are few people that want to share them with me as they are quite spicy) but this is just how I love my fries! I'd rather have no fries than fries that don't have this all over them!

I LOVE ranch dressing on my fries! Sometimes I use honey mustard, but my absolute favorite is a vanilla milkshake covered fry

Same as you, I like ketchup on french fries. I sometimes mix tomato ketchup with some hot chili sauce since I do love the taste of chili.

I'm kinda funny I guess. I don't really like ketchup with fries. I'd usually rather eat them with just salt then add ketchup. I love fries though with ranch dressing, or tarter sauce, or cheese melted over them, over covered in gravy.

I am not so big on the ketchup, but yes I do that...I dip my fries in the ranch sauce and yes I love them in the tarter sauce as well on occasion...depends on what restaurant we are at and my hubby gets the fish and chips and I will dip my fries then in the tarter sauce...LOL yum, now I want some fries...LMAO!!
