Do you think that people have outragous prices on homes today? i do because i need at least a 3 bedroom house and one that is in good condition cost almost $80,000

well I don't know where you live but I'm a Realtor here in St. Louis where prices are relatively cheap and a 3 bedroom house in good condition here would be at least $120K or more so 80 is a great deal!
Right now is the best time to buy! the housing market has pretty much come to a halt - which means that sellers are depserate to get rid of their homes! Many of them will take thousands of dollars less than what their house listed for simply becuase it's so hard to sell right now.
Last year at this time the sellers owned the market and pretty much could get anything they wanted for thier house.
My advice to you - if you're looking to buy a house buy now rather than later!

well we are buying the house now for 50,000 but it needs alot of work! but when we were looking at another house that was for 85,000 it was nice but it was older and needed alot of newer things! (it almost looked like a grandma's house with all yellowed flooring and walls! lol sorry!)

We live in a 3 bedroom 1 bath in Missouri, we bought 6 years ago for 70,000 and it appraised 6 months ago for 130,000. We have done nothing but maintain the house. I'm ready to sell!!!!!

Lucky you. When we were house shopping, most 3 bedroom homes were well over $100,000 and many had bad roofs or were falling apart.
We were lucky to get our house at $92,000.

wow that's alot for a 3 bedroom.. plus it depends on where you live.. see i live in Indiana where there not as expensive as say california!

Housing prices are outrageous now. When I was buying my first house back in 1974, we bought a brand new 3 bedroom for $32,000. This year we built a new home. So far it has cost $200,000 and it's still climbing. This house is smaller than that first house. Our new one has nicer things in it than that one did, but look at the difference in the price! I don't believe wages have gone up in keeping with that, have they?

OH YES i do think its crazy what people want for homes..i sometimes wonder how in the world people afford anything other then homes especially once you get in there you have to pay taxes and land taxes and home insurance and all the rest of the stuff...we bought our house for 60,000 lol and i could fit it into my moms living room...and hers was BUILT for her for only 20,000 more !....crazy crazy

where u live they cost 80,000 or u need one to cost that low? my house i bought 4 yrs. ago for 220,000, now it's worth about 400,000, it's a 4bed 2ba. it's very expensive in california!
