Create music?

hey folks,
i was just wondering if anyone here on mylot are in a band or create there own music?
if so, what style do you play and do you have any web links that you wouldn't mind sharing?

I don't create music myself but i do help a fella here in Australia who I would say in his younger days played similar music to you, today he plays anything from country to country rock , I have a clip on him on my Youtube page, http://www.youtube.com/BonnieLBW I hope you do well in your music....

thanks Lila, i'll check out that link when thjngs are quiter as my brother is sitting watching supernatural.
we're just about to head out on tour. i can't wait, it'll be one hell of an experience.

yeah, i gotta be honest there aint really any money in it. people here are happy to pay about £3 or £4 to see bands here if they aren't well known but other than that people are pretty uptight about parting money to see a live act.
it's ashame really because more musicians deserve a little more support than they are given.

yeh and the sad part is the world is missing out on good music just because some good musicians just can't afford to make the music....very sad.

I have never created music, but I used to perform a lot. I used to be a singer and competed in own state against other singers, it was mostly classical type music though. But I also performed with a group where we sang and danced, and we mostly sung popular pop songs of that time, but that was quite a few years ago. Now I just sing at an occasional wedding.
