I like some food a little spicy but not flat out hot. Flavor is one thing. I bought this buffalo wing seasoning in a packet just on a whim really and flavored some wings with it. I thought it smelled a little hot but most buffalo wings smell that way anyway. I took one bite and my mouth was on FIRE!! Oh my poor children..lol..I looked at the packet and it said in small letters at the bottom "screaming hot". Would you have liked it? Do you like your food spicy hot?

no, hun, I wouldn't have bought it at all, don't like those "hot wings."
first, there's the "hot" part, don't do hot... especially hollow pepper hot since I'm allergic to them - all hollow peppers as well as the hot ones.
secondly, there's the "wings" part - I think they are a waste of time, too much work for too little meat - feel the same way about bar-b-que ribs...

I love spicy food especially Thai or Indian food but not too spicy where you need to drink water after every bite! I don't think I would like the buffalo wings if its screaming hot!

A normal Indian Chicken curry isn't spicy but I have the Madras which is spicy but not too spicy. My favourite Thai dish is a Red curry and they vary with spice depending on which restaurant. Green curry is also really nice and my favourite is the Thai spring rolls which are not spicy at all. I'm hungry now talking about food:)

Oh yes, there is nothing nicer than a really hot spicy meal as far as I am concerned and the spicier the better. My partner on the other hand does not like anything really spicy, or at least with more than a slight tang to it. So when she cooks up a spicy meal, it is divided into 2 before she adds the spices. One lot is for what she calls "normal people" and the other for "people who have no respect for their stomachs". By that she means me of course.
Often when I am away from home for the week, I will take a couple of meals of hot spicy chicken wings. When they are cooked, a certain quantity are frozen so that all I need to do is take them with me as I can eat them either hot or cold. So if there is not a microwave where I can heat them up, I simply eat them just as they are once they have defrosted. Thanks for the reminder Jen, as I think I will take some with me this week - if there are any left that is.

Heyya oldboy! I'm with her at the dinner table with that "normal peple" food. LOL
I like flavor but no heat for me please. Speaking of heat..I've been worried about you and your family. I understand there have been some mean fires over there. Glad to hear from you and stay clear of danger!

A little spicy is okay but I like to be able to taste many flavors, and when something is too hot, I don't think that is achieved. I don't mind my chili or wings being a little spicy, but I don't like it too spicy like fire hot or anything. I prefer mild to medium. I think more flavor comes through that way.

Yeah, I like spicy but not hot spicy. I get no enjoyment out of the burning sensation in my mouth. I don't know why Wendy's and Burger King make burgers and chicken sandwiches so hot. I couldn't even enjoy my french fries because I couldn't even taste them after taking one bite out of a Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich. I don't get the point. When you order hot Mexican food they give you sour cream to kill the heat. Wendy's give you caffeinated soda, which spreads the heat around in your mouth. I never buy anything with the word 'spicy' or a package with flames on it.

I prefer taste, but I also like hot things. I've been known to be the only one to eat horribly hot chili, just to prove I could. (While the rest of the people are running outside to stuff their mouths with snow...) The key is to not drink, especially pop or other carbonated things. It wasn't bad stuff. Couldn't taste anything for a few days, but I showed the cook what for. Pride goeth before the tongue...

I do like food hot, in fact I grow my own chilli's as they are so expensive to buy, but there's a point where the food is so hot you can't taste the rest of the ingredients you are eating, and chilli is supposed to enhance them not drown them out with pain. And the worst thing is when it still burns on the way out too, sorry to be crude anyone who likes spicy food will have experienced that pain too.

Hi nancyrowina! I have heard of that type of discomfort I have never experianced it thank goodness. Chillis are very hot peppers. I would definately be taking caution if I were using them. My grandfather grew little red hot peppers but I don't remember now what they were called. He used to love to take a bite out of one then out of his food. Thanks for the response.

Here our food is fresh and light. The spicy food isn't very popular. But sometimes I still enjoy eating spicy food because it's very interesting. Spicy food can be very delicious. And I try to adjust to different kinds of dishes.

I used to love really hot food. I would put hot sauce on everything that I ate. But now I am not to into it anymore and I rather not have a burning mouth. I will eat spicey foods once in awhile but now my stomach doesnt enjoy it very much.

a little spicy or hot is good, it is the flavor-enhancer. but too much is no good. people should not eat things with too strong flavor and your taste bud will get less sensitive.
