So I wake up this morning, to the news that Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids. At first I thought to myself, "What the hell was he thinking", after all of this Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa business. But then they say it was back in 2003. Now I am a big A-ROD fan, but an even bigger Derek Jeter and Yankees fan. Some where deep inside me I already knew that he was doing something, I think everyone did. I mean come on look at him his rookie year in Seattle, and look at him now. He went from the body of a Starbucks bus boy to that of a WWE wrestler. In my mind A-ROD is a great player, regardless; but I couldn't help but wonder if his image and accomplishments have been tarnished, because he "cheated"?

I think if you were an A-Rod fan , you may be disappointed . If you Never liked him, then you are gloating.Me, I never cared one way or the other. He is playing for a team I hate so I won't be rooting for him.I never really cared if baseball players took steroids are not. This chick doesn't dig the long ball as much as I dig great defense. The last time I checked, there isn't a shot or pill that can improve your defense. If that were true, Bonds would have helped the Giants win The World Series by now.I know I am rare, most people will read about this and the nickname A-Fraud will have a brand new meaning.

Interesting point. True, I don't think any of these players accused of using steroids ever helped their team win a championship. Sosa, Bonds, McGuire, Giambi, and now A-ROD. But yet the players continue to juice up. I think that shows just how selfish some baseball players can be. I think a lot of them only care about their individual stats, rather than those of the team. I mean it seems like more and more players are trying to be the ML ALL TIME LEADER in this and the ALL TIME LEADER in that, rather than winning a WORLD SERIES.

Once upon a time a player would play for one team his whole career. He would want to win the Series for the fans, who were by that time a part of his family. But these days a player can suit up for one team at the beginning of a game and be traded by the 7th.Some are going for all the money in the world. Others are just going where they can play. The only thing they really have a link to Is their Stsa. It is hard to expect a the new guy to Really care about his new team right away.so between the musical chairs and the lure of big money have made more player selfish.

I'm gloating for sure. I despise him. His cockiness and arrogance is infuriating. He doesn't even have the postseason accomplishments to be arrogant. He's so full of himself. That and he's cheating on his wife with Madonna. HOnestly, what is up with this guy.

LOL..."He's cheating on his wife with Madonna."...that's a low blow...LMAO. Even though we dont know what the heck he's doing with her, as a fan, I too would have to agree with that one. Madonna??? Shes like 127 years old...

Well I for one am a happy man. After the way they threw Bonds and McGuire under the bus. The Golden Boy is going down. Yes, his image has been tarnished. But it had been tarnished long before this came out. If you look at the stories that have come out about him the last 4 to 5 years. But in his defense if we are honest lots off baseball players were doing it. This is just the tip of the iceberg. If we really take a look inside those records you will be surprised who you will see on the list.
