Do you ever feel like you don't want to work ?

I am sitting at my desk and I have a bunch of things to do, but right now I don't feel like working at all. so instead I am my lotting.
Do you ever feel like that? and what do you do ? do you work anyways? or do you go on checking blogs and my lottting?

Hi there. There are lots of times when I feel like not working but most of the time, there's a deadline that has to be met so I have to force myself to work in spite of my mood. I leave the office earlier, though, on days when I'm not in the mood to work. Also, if there's no deadline, I usually just spend some time chatting with some of my office mates as our office's IT department is quite strict and has set up a lot of restrictions on "non-work-related sites" such as social networking sites, forums, etc.

Hey thanx for Responding, I don't have deadlines, so I work when i feel like it. it sucks that they have all those restrictions, but I guess it's a normal occurance in most work places, where I work they don't have any restrictions so I can do what ever I want. LOL

I don't find my work boring I am just bored. LOL . Maybe you should consider a change in career.

I have the same feeling like you. I feel like don't want to work and I want to relax my mind. Working is so tired and stressful.

I am a student and there are many times when i know my exam is only 3 days away and i sit in chair to study and wow i dont concentrate at all and i too then go to net do what ever i feel like at that moment.. so it happens with everyone... after all we are humans not machines that we cant have mood swings and not feel like working.

Yeah, you are probably right we all have our mood swings. as a student I didn't study most of the times LOL

what i do now is my fist job.i like it at the first,and work hard.i always spent much time to study for work better.i have been up to the eyes recently.i need extra work after 8 hours' work.i 'm dog tired.i do want to do noting .

I won't MyLot for more than 30 minutes because it is addictive and I can spend all day at it. Instead I freewrite for 10 minutes. that means setting a timer and just writing whatever is rolling around in your head for then minutes. It is usually an emotional blockage causing me to avoid work. Freewriting releases that and gets me moving. It sounds silly, but I do my best work after freewriting!

Actually that doesn't sound silly at all, it sounds refreshing. I might just try doing this, but what if your mind is totally blank cause that what it feels like right now.

I often feel like I don't want to work, lol! I feel it everyday before I leave the house! I teach at a school and I am usually over it by the time I get well into my classes unless it is a day when I am really tired.
Even when I don't want to work I like knowing I have a regualr paycheck coming in so that is my incentive.
