hmmm.. it is good that they are developing technologies and internet in Africa...I don't know much about why many net sites are refusing African members to join. although you have to think things over first before you start a wide protest about this. try to get their reason why they refuse africans and what would be the good thing you can counter on this. As we all know, people from all over the world receive lots of email scams coming from africa like I do. I don't put much thought on those emails but it is annoying that my mail is getting spammed with those kinds of emails. When I was in college and money is really tight I thought I receive one of these emails saying I will receive an amount on a courier from Nigeria, I was like wow! it is a blessing, so I responded and the person who responded back is asking me a $100 to send to the courier in order for them to sent the package. That sounds pretty weird to me, so I asked my classmate about it. She said I'm too naive to believe a scam staring right at me lol. I receieve so many of those emails up until today... btu I just delete those... maybe this is one of the reasons why a lot of sites refuse members from Africa. Although this is reason can be solved through tight security on webs and catching scammers. We cannot totally put everything on racial discriminations. So I guess it's much better to get their side of the story and do something about it to give them a good reason to open all sites for African members. This might open lots of avenue for Africans and help not only the people but also help develop that country.

I noticed also that some paying sites don't accept people from Africa, Russia, Pakistan and other countries in Central Europe, I am wondering why there are some restrictions where in fact not all people from these countries are not questionable. I don't know if it is racial discrimination or there are some limitations and policies to these countries. Maybe there are some government restrictions prohibiting a financial process to internet sites.

This is a real problem. But it is not because of discrimination that simple. Maybe we should think twice when we make any actions. What do you think?
