Are you the type who normally start a discussion in myLot? Or just picking discussion to respond that you find it's easier? Or are you the type who likes to jump into someone's discussion as a 3rd party? Why is that so? What's the ratio like?

God sunday to you, zweeb82, I always login every morning and one or two more times during a day, if I can. I Normally look for responses in my own started discussions, then I start some new once. After that I look for friends started discussions, or my responses on those and try to work them out. My discussion about reading, had a tremendious response and still I have not yet responded to all of the responses I got. Some times, when I see a discussion where someone had responded I might make a response to that to...I like the dialog that make. Dialog gives more like a conservation. Well, I am of to other sites happy sunday

A 2 way communication is good. I love the discussions that you start as well & yeah I do agree, good & simple discussions fetch a lot of responses, like the one you mentioned!~ So all the best in your responding & have a good Sunday too!~ God bless you!~

I am a picker....I pick discussions to respond. I do start a discussion once in a while when I have something to start. I haven't jump into a discussion as a 3rd party yet and most likely not going to....don't really like doing that. I feel that the discussion is between the two so it is the two....I don't want to get involve.

HahaMy wife's a picker, I like that!~ That's why you picked me? HahahaYeah, I too find that jumping into or cutting into a discussion that's between 2 people is kind of rude unless they're people you know of & familiar with. Of course, that at times have to be done tactfully as well I find

I just surf around the site and find some thing to post about. And when I can think of something good to start a discussion, I will. Some times I do join a discussion as a third party by responding to some one else's responses. It is all random. No particular order of preference.

For me, as long as I find the topic make me think, I will have comments. And when I have comments, I will post it. Heh heh... no particular train of thought towards selecting a discussion as well.

I think I realize why now I do what I did. Sometimes a discussion can be very interesting but then after looking at the one who started it respond, it sometimes puts me off so I don't respond, hahaSome are purely fetching responses & some the way they respond it's like they're wanting to pick a fight? Hahah

Hmmm, random, I like it. I guess I don't really have a set pattern as well come to think of it? Sometimes I can speed read through the discussions but not respond as well? HahaBut I find that kind of silly so I try to cut down on that, haha

Hi.. I rarely start discussions.. just when i need to ask something.. I am more of a topic responder than topic starter.. Im the type who chooses what topic to respond to.. I prefer responding to topics that I know I have something to share..

I am actually both. When I think of a nice topic, I start a discussion. But if not, I usually post responses to discussions I have a say to or interests me. That's how it goes for me.

That's cool. I've actually just realized that I've started quite a number of discussions but I must say I respond to discussions more & yes, only those that interest me of course

hi i prefer to respond discussions than starting it..it will be easier to me respond discussions of my interest..to start a discussion i think twice that the topic is interesting or not then i search for any similar discussions which was previously started or not....

True, it's actually a mylot rule that one should not start same discussions so I do survey before starting a discussion. Yup, discussions that are of our interests are easier to answer although there might be rare occasions that I might learn & pick up some new things through discussions that are not of my interest

I prefer just replying to discussions really as it's hard to think of discussions that haven't been done before on Mylot really, that doesn't stop lots of people though. When I do start discussions they tend to be off in some interests no one looks at so they don't get many responses anyway, so it's easier just to respond to other peoples.

Yeah, talk about plagiarism, hahaIt's true that if we start discussions in the "not so visited" interests columns, then we'll be fetching less responses. Like I have some discussions with only 1 response? Haha

I'm the type that responds to discussion because i find it easier as i have a little response to the discussion i strated (probably because of the title :) ). I rarely jump in to 3rd party discussion.

I usually respond to someone's discussion. I seldom post new topic to discuss. I am comfortable to just post my response if there is interesting discussion that I would like to respond to. But there are times that I respond to the response of others if it really interests me.

I guess I'm into the responding type as well until lately I got chattier? What I mean is I started a few more discussion of late. If not, I'm just the responding type as well. I do jump into discussions occasionally when it's an interesting thread but normally they are people I know of but if it's really ReallY REALY an interesting discussion, I can't help but to dive in? Haha

Normally I start off by responding to discussions started by my friends or in the Interests. Sometimes I comment on somebody's response even though it is not my discussion. Why? It depends on my mood. I am not into starting discussions since many of the topics that I have touched so far are rather serious. Sometimes there are people who misread what I wrote. all the best, rosdimy

I normally have the habit of going into "friends started" tab under discussions as well. I seldom go into the other interests section unless I find that I've run out of discussions to respond. The only interests section I go to is the computer section, hahaYup, jumping into discussions can be mood dependent. Thanks for responding!~

Hi,mostly I respond to others'discussions that interest me.I prefer to start my own discussions coz then I have some expectation here.lol.But its never easy since Im not creative enough to think of popular discussions. Seldom do I jump into someone's discussions as a 3rd party. Its indeed easier to respond to discussions.

HahaI guess majority here would agree it's easier to respond to discussions compared to starting one as it's not always you get responses, hahaI've even started a discussion in my early stage when I just joined not long ago but with no responses even up till this day, ahaha

I find it hard to start a new discussion. So, I simply pick the easier ones to respond to that match my interests. I also respond to the discussions that are started by my friends on mylot.

Hello zweeb82! At first, I started a new discussion everyday but as time goes by, I ran out of topics to discuss that I responded more to the discussions than make my own. Now I am more on responding to discussions from time to time.

Guilty of all three! But find that I spend more time responding to discussions, than I do in initiating....and yes, have been third party in a lot of topics, as I don't think there are any rules regarding conversation! It would be like saying you can only talk to one person at a time....do you not sit around with 2 or 3 people and discuss things! Peaceful Sunday!

HahaThere's no rules against that as I do jump into discussions myself as well but most of the times tactfully as I don't want to disrespect or offend anyone unnecessarily
