What were the most important lessons in life that your parents taught you that you in turn passed on to your kids? My husband and I made our kids learn the lessons on loving God, being considerate and responsible persons.

To lived a life focus on God alone and to see to it that we follow Gods word the Bible. I myself would like to pass this on my own kids.

The most important thing I learned from my father was how to do things for yourself. He was a self-made man, learned about computer programming by asking permission to just sit in the back of a classroom for free. He took that knowledge to a job at a bank and worked his way up. When he had enough income, he got his degree online and was very successful. My mother taught me about budgeting and how to spend wisely. I am proud to pass these gems onto my children.

We, too, focused on living the life God intended us to live. In addition, I wanted my children to become independent, productive adults who cared about others, loved learning, and became good citizens. Now that they're grown, they have both surpassed my expectations, so I'm proud of what I accomplished.
