Southern Europe

In the summer it is lovely for many people that live in my home country to visit a location in Southern Europe where it is warm and sunny. They might go to Barcelona on the Spanish coast, to the Algarve in Portugal, to Italy, to a Greek Island or to the island of Malta. I have discovered that Croatia is less expensive as Italy and it has some lovely looking islands and lakes. Montenegro is a hidden gem of a country that gets fewer tourists than Italy. Would you like to go to Southern Europe? If so where? Have you already been there? If so what was your trip like?

Enjoy it while you can. If global warming becomes a reality, southern Europe will become hotter and drier and part will start turning int desert. A frightening thought as you jet there and those carbon dioxide deposits from your traveling is accelerating the global warming and destroying the very areas you love so much.

I have been to Barcelona and Benidorm. I enjoyed it very much. I have been to several places in Europe and I think my favourite was the Rhine Valley.

I was recently in Barcelona this past December, we flew from Sweden to Spain, so it felt a lot warmer than up North, it was light jacket weather, and if you were up in Park Guell it was pretty warm. Altogether it was a great trip, I can't wait to go back to Sweden so my boyfriend and I can do more Europe travels. When he comes he in December we are going to spend a week in the Bahamas, that will be really exciting. I am anticipating a great winter break.

I like southern Europe a lot and I have been there many times. I have lived in Italy twice and in addition to that I have travelled around in Italy as a tourist. My favourite places in Italy is Ravenna. I have lived there for a couople of months and I enjoyed my time very much. I have also lived in Bologna, and that was nice, too, but Ravenna is my favourite. I have also been to Spain a couple of times. The first time I was there I stayed at a hotel in Malaga, but I also went to Sevilla and Grenada. It was a great trip and I returned to Spain some years later and then I travelled around a bit more and visited other parts of the country. I haven't been to Greeve yet, but I want to go there in the future.

Well.. I DO live in Malta. And my vacations and work trips have been limited to Sicily and Southern Italy. The beauty of these places lies both in the ambience as well as in the community feeling. I have always felt a certain warmth here, the type where people consider their neighbours as family, even though they are not. One remark that once a californian tourist said to me was in fact that she would come back to Malta just because the people here are warm and there is none of that fast life that is found in large cities. I can vouch it was the same in Southern Italy as well as in big Italian Cities. Of course, in Malta the advantage is that people actually speak English. :P

Hi maximax8! U have never been to Southern Europe and maybe I would like to see Barcelona because my cousin has been already there and she has told me so much about it. She sad that she really enjoyed being there and enjoyed the laid back lifestyle. I would also love to go to Montenegro because a friend of my husband who is from Montenegro said that his small country is like a small kingdom wherein you will really be enchanted with all its scenery, castles and palaces. Take care and have a great day! lovelots..faith
