My kids have lots of toys and most toys that they receive weekly are Happy Meals given by my in-laws, their grandmother and titas and titos. Happy Meal toys are toys that come with packaged take-outs from Jollibee and McDonalds and sometimes Burger King and KFC. I am glad these toys are durable so I am able to collect some of them. I'm sad I can't put them in a collection cabinet just like some people I've watched on TV. Do you also give Happy Meal toys to your kids?

I do from time to time, mostly my Aunt does she's a McDonald's fanatic. But it seems upon occasion that the toys are less than durable and I try to toss those out w/o the kids noticing. The sad thing is they are not as good as they were when I was a kid and were better made. But I will say typically the under 3 toy is better than the older kids toys IMO. Sad one has to worry about the quality of the toy seeing other store bought toys have had lead & choking issues in recent years.

You are correct. I hope McDonald's is doing an internal quality check on the toys that they are selling, as well as the other food chain. I don't want to be traumatized in the future that their toys are not safe. That will be a great disappointment for my kids.

I always wondered that myself if they had put a stringent quality control on their kids meal toys as one of their biggest consumers are kids! And I'd imagine many do not know that they offer toys for under 3. I would also hope that they'd consider alot of kids will put those toys in their mouths even past 3.
Many of us got hooked on eating @ McD's you ate their food as a kid as we wanted the prize in the meal box.

Maybe they have though I think I should search more on that. The toys must be giving them lots of revenues and they should allot a percentage of that to quality control, or else they will be doomed in the future if parents see them as not really safe for kids.

I do buy them toys from happy meal. They are cute and durable than toys from other Jollibee from my opinion. :D But not as often. Only when the toys is their favorite or when they have done good at home or in school.

That is good. We should be practical these days! My kids' toys are usually given as gifts and pasalubong.

I also do that. I prefer toys that I can take as collectibles such as Star Wars toys, Shrek, and Disney toys.
