before i began mylot or rather before i finally said i want to be a member of this site.... a member already of this site and a friend of my wife told me the ins and outs and go and dont's of this site. so far so good. the rules are easy and i think it would be a good chance for me to have extra money from the net. the person also told me to open my email first before logging in at mylot so i can see what my friends started discussion. so your discussion i saw it at my email. so i dont check out for discussion.... i check what my friends started discussion first. then if i am finished already i just browse around the top if what are the new started discussion.

Very well said. I guess it's really important to check e-mails, right? My notifications settings on Mylot is turned off so I guess I just have to set it on a go so I could always know if a friend started a nice discussion. Thanks for that.

Yeah, well, as for me even my notification settings is turned off. I check on Friends Started when I'm here on Mylot but I go to My Interests first 'cause that's where I usually get some discussions that I could respond to. When I didn't find something interesting, that's when I go to Friends Started. I agree it's sometimes funny how people's responses are way too unrelated to the discussion, just for the sake of having a response. It's not good at all. We should all be responsible enough to respond to those that we have a sensible opinion to say.

mylot is a site that you can exercise very well the give and take. you response on your friends started discussion and they will response on your discussion as well. i dont response on all the discussion.... i choose on the discussion i know what they are talking about. i seen some people responding while they dont know anything about the discussion. it is quite funny to do that. well it is still your choice if you will notigy them on. i mean what is the sence of you accepting them as a freind when you dont know what is happeneing with them. right?

Nice. I usually check on the ones I started too. It's very important that we somehow respond to those who respond to our discussion and I'm very appreciative to those who did on mine. So, thanks a heap!

If I am mylotting a lot then I go to new. Otherwise, I start with my friends then go to my interests.

First, I look at the headlines to see if there's anything interesting to respond to. Then I look at Today's Top, then My Interests. I like the headlines most because it keeps me up to date with what's going on in the world and gives me a chance to put my "two cents" in.

Cool strategy on choosing types of discussion. If you wouldn't mind, I guess I'll do that, too, you know, check on the headline first.

I haven't been on Mylot long, so it's all a bit haphazard at the moment. I suppose now I have some friends, I start there, and then Recent.

I will check out the "friends started" first, then I will check my mail for any that have notify on for. After that I will select the today's top, hot, and any in my main interests. I will also plus my unresolved discussions and if I have time will rate the discussions I have already given a best response to, and I will also go back to the ones I had already responded to and see if I can add more, but not that often as that takes a lot of time.

I start from my notifiers and deal first with responses and comments that my own discussions have recieved then I go to the discussions started by my friends through the notifiers too. Then I got to my interests and lastly to 'no responses'.
