One of the things that I find amazing about using the internet is that you are talking to people from all over the world. I'm sitting at my computer on a cold day, it's late afternoon, cloudy sky outside, starting to get dark - you might be sitting at your computer with brilliant sunshine or torrential rain. I'm thinking about what to cook for tonight - you might be having breakfast. So anyway, it got me wondering about where everybody is. I'm in England - where are you?

I am from Malta, here the weather is cold and is getting dark. Malta is a small island in Europe. Well Wngland is a nice place too, I only came once in England and wish to travel more. I love hearing different traditions and different lifestyles it is fun knowing that there are millions of people in this world.

I agree with you, I've read some of the posts and it's really cool the way people all around the world have read this and are answering to it.
Actually, if there's anyone who's after having something nice for lunch, I'm not sure what to eat so give me a shout!

I am in Perth, Western Australia, your discussion is already 1 day old, it is 3.25 p.m. and very, very hot! Isn't the web an amazing thing? It makes the world so much smaller. When I first started using the internet I used to marvel at the fact that I could make friends from anywhere in the world, nowadays I take it more for granted until I stop and think about it. You're in England, I worked in London many years ago and I love the place; the weather not so much because I am one of these people that really feels the cold, put it this way we have an unheated pool and even on a really hot day like today I hesitate jumping in because I fear feeling cold! I know... I should toughen up! Anyway nice to meet you and greetings from Australia to England!

You wouldn't like it here at the moment - it's cold and raining. I'm not keen on the heat, but could do with a bit more of it at the moment!

yes......this is one thing that fascinates me too.....most of the time while talking to someone on internet, i am tempted to ask them here they are from....because we can easily understand the other person is not in the same situation......like many times it has happened that when i log in early in the morning, people wish me good evening....
well, i an from India.....and its good to meet you.
have a nice day..

Hi Osidian, I was trying to say 'how are you' in Cantonese. We had a student from Hong Kong who stayed with us for a year, and I tried to learn a few words in Cantonese, but without practice I have forgotten a lot!

Cantonese is easier than mandarin for you, i think . because the method of pronunciation is more close to English than mandarin :)
sometimes i will also forget the right tone of Cantonese, because I am not a native speaker and I am living in UK, the chance to speak Cantonese is rare.

Hi katsalot
My country is India.
But I am right now in U.S.
I have come to U.S.to see my daughter who has just delivered a boy baby.
I also at times think like you.But for the internet and sites like Mylot
I won't have an opportunity to chat with international friends like you.
It gives immense pleasure to know about each other,to share each other views and
to help each other,to guide each other,to wish each other...despite caste, community, country, religion etc..
Here all are humans. All share here their love and care for others.
Happy mylotting.

Hello There!
I am from the Philippines. Right now, it is almost 6 in the evening here. Sun is going down in our country. I am at home and just reading some notes and accessing my emails. My mom is preparing dinner for all of us. My siblings are doing their homework for tomorrow’s school. Luckily, it is not that hot here right now though it didn’t rain here in the city. Earlier, I planned to study and watch some CBT video about networking but my internet got messed up with my laptop and my connection is intermittent so I have to go outside to purchase an Ethernet cable. I lost interest in watching video so here I am doing mylot and making some reviews that I can pass it in a review site to get paid.
Right now, I am thinking of going to sleep early because I have work at around six in the morning. Wow! England is a very beautiful country. I wish I could visit there someday when I get to earn good money. Lolz. Thanks for the discussion and Happy Mylotting. Happy Earning and have a great day! Cheers~!

Hello katsalot1, Crocket here.
I am in Canada and yes this is a big country.
I have always wanted to visit England as when I was fifteen I bought a guitar just like George Harrison and wanted to be a Beatle cause they had all the girls.
I grew my hair long too to try and look like them.
It is winter outside here this morning.
Crocket.

I am from India. I think most of us know about the country.India is a democratic country where people of various religions live together and speaking thousands of languages too.In India there are so many famous places and personalities.Taj Mahal one of the wonders of the world,Mahatma Gandhiji, a freedom fighter who followed ahimsa i.e. non violence throughout his life.
So many other places like Red Fort,Cherrapunji,Qutub Minar and so many places.Tourism is very popular here.People from various countries visit our country and enjoy the most.
Also our country is surrounded by oceans on three sides. There are a number of forests available, zoos, wildlife sanctuaries.
I hope you will come to INDIA soon!!!
Happy myloting
