Yes, we also taking less meat since the price had gone up recently. Nowadays in my home, we ate more green leafy veggies and fruits. Since both my parents are ills with diabetes and high blood pressure. Even we had cut-down the intake of food seasoning in our home.

Of course it is healthy hehe, I am a vegetarian and the food I eat is absolutely great. I used to weigh 136 lbs, now I am at 110 and I feel better than ever. I actually got sick more when I ate meat, I got salmonella poisoning from chicken I ate once at a restaurant, that was horrible, after that I stopped eating meat altogether. I am not trying to tell anyone to go vegetarian, it is a choice that I made, but I have no regrets. All food has risks though, vegetables are handled by many, and meat can be sickly. Since we all ingest food that has been touched, meat, vegetables, etc., we all may get sick every now and then. Fruits and vegetables are good for the body, so you should not be scared to eat some of the earth's more wholesome foods. Just eat what makes you feel good!

Happy to hear that you had successfully reduce your weight. Yes, vegetarian food is nature food and healthy for consume. But, had you tried those vegetarian meats with all kinds of flavour, texture and colours to attract customers? They are usually originated from Taiwan or Japan. Tastes really quite nice but it was hand-made food. Had you try it?

Human beings are omnivorous by nature, which means that we can survive on either meat products or vegetation. It follows that vegetarian food will be suitable for the human palette and also a healthy product to consume. Nevertheless, I would expect a combination of both meat and vegetable products to be the most healthy and a more balanced diet for a person. I am fully aware that there are many vegetarians who live long and healthy lives, but I cannot help but feel that the total absence of meat is not natural for mankind. The one benefit that may exist is without meat we would not eat too much in the way of fatty foods, which do have a damaging effect on our body.

Most people believe that the vegetarian food is good for the health. However, I have a different opinion. I believe that the balanced food shall be better. Namely you shall eat more vegetables but at the same time you shall also eat some meats. Besides, you shall also eat the fruits, dairy products and so on.

Hello youless, I agree that a balanced diet is more important and healthy than just to eat some specified food. How I wish to have a plot of my own land to grow some vegetables. Then I can always have fresh and healthy vegetables without being chemically sprayed like some farmers do for them to grow faster and make some more profit. This kind of vegetables is unhealthy for us to consume.

Healthier & safer than animal products! Been at it for over a decade myself now & I'm alright! I'm not going to list my arguments here; you can research for yourselves, but the best thing by far is to try it. What have you got to lose? They are not all hand made food as you say; down here most of it is made on industrial heavy machinery these days, the same as everything else.

I think lots of people consume vegetarian food. I think is healthy to consume vegetarian food. There are lots of various varieties of vegetarian food available. I think there are lots of good snacks that are available that are very tasty. I think you should try to make some Indian dishes both Southindian and Northindian and they are very tasty.
