Does anyone know of any sites for genealogy research that are helpful but don't cost. I keep running in circles back to sites you have to pay membership fees to. Anyone know something different. Would appreciate the help. Thanks

the hardest thing is getting the first link to your family.try going to the county genealogy sites on the web.all the ones i have been to are free. if you can link your self with one of the family's there you can download that side of your family.i have done quite a lot of history on my family.when you find a link to your family.e-mail them and i don't know anyone that does this, that will not be happy to find a new family member and will share everything they know.best luck to you.
