how much recession effects your life??

One has to look at the bigger picture to realize the impact of recession. On some counts this may seem good. eg: petrol is cheaper, real estate has become more affordable, people have realized the benefits of saving. But i am really worried about the long term effects: I work in the hospitality industry & recession effects it the most. Holidaying & eating out is always done with discretionary income. In present circumstances people have reduces these excesses & business in my firm is down drastically. eventhough i have no fear of losing the job, next year's increment & bonus can be safely forgotten. Nobody benefits when the countries growth rate is down. I see this gloom for i more year at least.

Well see recession has effected life of all the people in this world , I am a final year engineering student , so people might think how can I be effected. Then let me tell you , I too have been effected, the number of companies coming to my campus for campus placements have reduced , and also the salary.

Personally even yet today I think there is not a person out there who cannot say that this recession has not effected their life in some way. I know for me that it makes it harder at times to make ends meet as prices continue to go up on everything while wages stay the same. And then it seems like their is no extra work for people like their once was, so more people are having to turn to new ways to make some extra $$ as well. But we are having to pinch pennies at times to get by but learning new ways to eat healthier and cheaper as well.

Recession is affecting me in a way that I find my earnings not enough already to the things I spend.

I know many people has been deeply effected by world recession, but lucky for me the recession almost not effecting me. But, yes the price is rising slowly, little by little. And the cost of living become high......luckily, my income could cope with all of the expense and surviving these harsh condition. BR.b

It has already seriously affected my life.. I have not been able to get a job for a long time.. Even prior to the recession everywhere I applied to ended up shutting down.. Then they closed the GM plant.. And 75% of Janesville, Wisconsin lost their jobs, and this rippled effected down the line into the resturants, and all the other jobs, and not its one out every 4 houses in a town of 50,000 are on the market, This also caused Lear to close, Now Freedom Plastics is being sold... This area is totally shutting down, I wish someone would come to our area fast and bring new jobs in... Now people are having problems getting into the local college because the GM plant employees and others get first dibs.. It's a mess... Two of my Families houses are endanger.. My sisters house and my Grandpas old house.. Which is the house I been working the internet sites to try to earn money for.. I can't do it. I can not earn 365,000$ .... Because I can't get hired anywhere I do not have a drivers licence, gas prices going up made it worse so no one wants to take me out to practice driving... the licence fees went up state registration, the jails are full so now they are refusing to arrest people for breaking laws... the police departments are short on money.. The foster care group homes that are privately ran are now sending children back into abusive situations and closing down. The economy crash hit seriously hard in Janesville, Wisconsin.. and other places around the state... I could not get hired anywhere before this, now I really can not get hired... I am losing everything between the recession, and my families poor descision making. I can't stand it, and want to scream, but instead of screaming I keep plugging away at my internet sites, doing my best to keep up hope... - DNatureofDTrain

We live in Australia and we feel the effects of the economic status as well. My husband still has his job, thankfully although he is in sales and business is not great. Our budget has had to be revised because his pay does not quite cover anything anymore especially groceries and now we have a credit card debt. I do freelance writing from home and my small income-and I mean small!-used to be good pocket money; now it is needed to meet the bills and it too, is not quite enough. I am concerned that if I need to work outside the home to make more money I will not be there for my daughter so much and my writing will have to take a back seat which will break my heart.

You hope that recession effects us?..Thats a serious typing error given the present scenario! Presently it has effected me though I am a student cause the companies have stopped new recruitment and I was going to sit for online campusing next year but now I have started preparing for further studies..I just hope this is over and the economy handles itself by the nest two years else too many people will lose a lot by then..Luckily both my parents job are saved from recession..

hi everyone new mylotta here.. i lost my job in nov made redundant,after 2 years of workin up the ranks in a big diy chain was really angry at first but was luckily able to find another job straight away.. less hours but me and the mrs happier and lookin forward in life especially as got a little one due in october but to anyone out there in the same boat as i was chin up and hope things turn for you too
