Irresponsible Gossiping

Up to now i'm still struggling to be level-headed to a certain co-employee who seems to enjoy gossiping up to the point of destroying your reputation. I think she enjoys seeing someone get hurt and be the talk of the town. I don't know her reason for doing that, especially how open she is to her faith which is very contradictory. I know many experience this predicament and I ignore this by focusing on my work, reminding myself that i am an educated person and avoiding her as much as possible...
