While I was growing up we were always aware of how old you had to be to date someone eighteen or over because it "was" the law. If you were lets say fifteen then dating or sleeping with someone eighteen years or older was against the law and the eighteen year old could be charged with statutory rape. When I moved to a northern state a few years back I learned that underage females could date eighteen and over aged men without anyone getting in trouble. As long as the underage female was consenting there was no harm no foul. I learned also there are alot of states that share this and see nothing wrong with a sixteen year old girl dating a twenty seven year old guy. I personally think its disgusting and I question how an underage person could be "consenting". Before someone replies that I am being well whatever lol think about it as a parent. Would you want your sixteen year old daughter dating a twenty seven year old man? Do you think sixteen year old females are even capable of having that kind of relationship seriously or making those types of decisions? Whats your opinion?
