I'm trying to reformat my machine and for whatever reason the disc isn't automatically running when I start the machine up. Last time I did this, I put the disc in and started the computer up and it took off, am I doing something wrong this time? Please someone let me know before I just decide to chuck it out the window!

GO to your bios and set the first boot device as your CD Drive.
Then when you re-boot it will ask you to "Press any key to boot from CD". So press any key.

have u check your bios setting, bootdisk priority it should be in order first disk must be your dvd or cd rom or check your cd rom connection. put disk in cd rom then restart your computer.

Yeah Photoshopfun is right you need to check the bott priority. It may be thinking that it should boot from the hard disk first instead of the cd/dvd-rom. Hope that works.
Post back if you have anymore computer questions I would be glad to help.
