I'm currently in this situation and I don't know what to do. Should I tell her and risk our friendship? Or just let it pass? What do you think guys? Have you been into this dilemma? I really don't know what to do. :(

You know what, a lot of people fall for their best-friends because they are so close to them already. My best-friend fell for me, but sadly, I did not feel the same way for him, and I told him so. It killed me to have to tell him that I did not love him after he poured his heart out to me, and asked me to marry him, but I did not love him. My best-friend has Epilepsy, and the mind of a ten-year-old. He has problems with his anger, he cannot drive (he'll never be able to get a license because of his Epilepsy), and he has been kicked out of his parents house. He has not graduated college and he has lost one job after another. He is a year older than I am. He has also began going bald. I always thought of him as a brother, but nothing more than that.

Aww.. But I'm just wondering, are those the reasons (his epilepsy, childish ways, anger, etc) why you don't love him?

Part of it, I guess, not to sound shallow. The other part was that I just wasn't attracted to him. There was no real spark like there was with my boyfriend. When I met my boyfriend, that spark was there the minute that I met him, I never felt anything such as that before. With my best friend, there was never a spark there. When you love someone, there is just that spark, it really is hard to describe it other than all of the sudden you want to stop what you are doing, nothing else matters, it is just all about the person that is standing right in front of you.

i have a best friend for almost 9 years now and yes my best friend is a woman, a very fine, elegant and sophisticated woman. though she is now married, i love her and i actually fallen for her when she was still single, i even courted my best friend in a way. for those people who had almost the same situation like me, it's hard i tell you to develop some kind of a deeper feeling towards your best friend, there are some doubts, or should i say so many doubts that will come to mind. i am confuse most of the time especially when she told me that our relationship will not be more than best friends and that's the fact that is hard to accept for deep inside of me i know that i am the perfect guy for her but in a way she feels that i am not the perfect guy for her.

I had a couple of bestfriends before who fell for me.. And I turned them down. I am thinking now that maybe this is my karma. It's me now who's falling for my bestfriend and she doesn't see me as her lover..

Falling in love with your own bestfriend is a little bit tricky because you would have to choose between love or friendship. I used to be trapped in the position and I was able to choose the right thing by choosing our friendship. Not that it would be wrong for you to take the risk, but in my case, I know that we don't have lots in common and it was only something that would last for a while. And if the relationship broken, the friendship would also fade and gone. If you're not so sure about the future of the relationship, I would suggest you to choose friendship over the love relationship

That's the actually the hard part. Figuring out if you're better off as bestfriends or lovers..
